Heck yes!  I’m on month 10.  I though my cycle had gotten regular but nope…3 days shorter this month.  Weird.  You still might be pregnant though.  The problem is you don’t know for sure until AF shows.  Keep your spirits up!

We’re thinking about TTC in the next year or so. I don’t even want to think about trying to chart myself. I’ve never ever in my entire life had a predictable period. I don’t really see the point in charts, at least for my situation. It would just freak me out more, I bet.

I’m in the same place (well, I haven’t tested yet).  MIne was ‘due’ Wednesday but I still don’t have it and I don’t feel any pregnancy symptoms at all.  Looks like I’m going to have a longer cycle.  I had long cycles when I was a teen, so I guess I’m heading back to ‘normal’ after 8 years on the pill.

@K_alecia: AWWW hang in there! I am sure that it can be very frustrating especially when you want it to happen NOW!! We are going to start trying next year but for the first six months, I do not want to chart…. I think for me, I would feel like its a ‘chore’ as you described. I don’t want to remove the fun from it. I am just going to take my vitamins, make sure that we continue to have sex regulary and see how that works out….because I know me, I would probably stress out, lol…. However, if after the six months of trying and still no luck for me then we will start charting and taking temps, etc ๐Ÿ™‚

Good Luck to you!!!!

It can get so frustrating.  We’re trying and last month I was a week late, so that totally screws up everything ๐Ÿ™ … but hang in there.  I’m trying not to not worry or stress about it.

It can definitely be frustrating.  As a glimmer of hope though, I was expecting AF on a Wednesday, didn’t get it, tested on Saturday and had a negative test.  I still didn’t have AF the following Wednesday, tested again…negative.  So as I began to feel quite saddened that my cycle is totally screwed up, and I wasn’t pregnant, the hubby convinced me to test again the following Saturday, and sure enough it was positive!  So despite missing your period it may just take a little longer for your BFP.

From my own experience, the early results pregnancy tests did not work…I didn’t get a BFP until 2 wks after missed period!  I stopped testing after a week and then gave up.  Then on a long shot tested again after two weeks.  I ultimately ended up miscarrying, but wanted to let you know you should keep on testing until you get AF!

If you’re a week or more late, call your doctor.  They can do a blood test that will tell one way or the other for certain.  Also, there could be other issues going on.

This isn’t just ME saying this.  I’ve read it on every website possible for TTC, fertility, or women’s health.  (Yep, I’ve done a lot of research…)

For what it’s worth, I was a week late, called my dr. and AF showed right after I called the office.  I still went in, though, to be certain there wasn’t anything going on and to talk with the nurse practitioner (no, I didn’t spell check that :P).

I’m in the same boat. I was supposed to get AF around 6/12-6/14. I’ve taken a couple of tests and they’ve been negative. My first two cycles coming off of BC were very normal. Not sure what I should do?

@MrsStrz: simple: call your dr.  (ob-gyn, preferably).  They can do a blood test and if it’s negative, they can help figure out what’s going on.  It COULD be an underlying problem.

@Zinzerena: I will probably make an appointment with my ob-gyn next week if I don’t get AF over the weekend! Thanks for the advice!

@MrsStrz: welcome!  ๐Ÿ™‚  Don’t be surprised if AF shows up AFTER you make the phone call.  even the girls at my office said that’s usually how it happens! LOL!  But even if it does show, after you make the appointment, still go in and make sure all is right.

I did and that’s how I learned I actually DID have a miscarriage last year (we suspected, but had no one actually say it) so that means for me, next time I get pregnant, I’ll be in “high risk” do to a premie AND a miscarriage.  (not a bad thing, in my opinion… just means more doctor visits and lots of ‘excuses’ for work ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

@Zinzerena: With my luck it will show up just as I set the phone down after making my appointment. Haha. I actually just got the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and it’s really getting me excited about charting and figuring out my cycle.
