- Wedding: August 2014
After several negotions over several days me FI and I have finally settled on a venue, a date, and a guest list!
It ended up to all be a matter of psychology. I wanted to get married at Disneyland and for some unfathomable reason he was stuck on letting one of our friends plan our wedding (“but I can’t guarentee that you’ll like it” he’d comment. WTF?!). Then after the came around to it (our friend is throwing the party for all our friends a few days later, much more his planning style!), my FI was afraid we couldn’t narrow the guest list to the strict 18. After getting him full of a good dinner and relaxed we casually made a ‘guest list’. Turns out that we’re at 17. Finally he was afraid that his best man wouldn’t be able to make a Thrusday afternoon wedding, given ten months notice and living one hour away… I’m not seeing a problem there.
So late night we’re relaxing on the couch and my FI announces, “I’m glad we came up with that idea. It sounds great.”
I’m not sure where this “we” part came from, but if it makes him feel better (and gets me the wedding I want) I’ll go with “we”.
Sorry, I just had to share that, I’m still laughing at that! Any other bees have similar experiences?
