Hello πŸ™‚

I actually don’t have my Neil Lane ring yet, but this was also my concern! I talked to 3 different stores and a well trusted employee at Jareds. She assured me that more than likely those reviews on Kay’s website, with diamonds falling out, had to do with sizing. We ordered from Jareds because I liked their service better, but we also didn’t order a center stone,we have our own.(We were planning to go custom , but had many upsets and let downs from jewelers..) So the reviews that said there were yellow centerstones, I cannot help you with that.  But if they “make” the ring in your exact size, I do not think there will be an issue. At least I hope there won’t be! (since I am waiting for mine)Lol. If you don’t mind me asking, which ring are you looking at? πŸ™‚

I have a Neil lane ring, and have had to send it back to be fixed on 4 different occasions. I was very upset, but the sales people at Kay’s were all very helpful. I hadcontacted corporate and they told me that if I chose to, I could trade my ring toward a different one because of my problems , but I was so in love with it that I figured I’d give it one more shot and I’m so glad I did! I switched out my ring for a new one of the same kind and haven’t had any problems since! I think i may have had a faulty setting. Now I have the band to go along with it, and I love it even more that I did before!

I have the double halp pear Neil Lane ring, and I have had no problems with it. I felt like you when reading the reviews, however I took into consideration what some people had said, and I don’t shower or do house cleaning with it on. And have no problems πŸ™‚ Go for it! They are beautiful, just be sure to get the extended care plan

I have Neil lane ring! I’ve had it for over a year and I haven’t had any issues at all. I absolutely love it. My fiance was going for that vintage feel and Neil Lane’s rings are perfect fot that. If you do buy from Kay’s make sure that you go in every 6 months for the inspection so that they’ll honor your diamond warranty πŸ™‚ Good luck!

@purpledaisies:  I don’t have any experience with Neil Lane but have seen some of that collection and honestly I think it’s overpriced. You can create something of better quality for much less. That’s just my opinion though.

I have a Neil Lane ring from jared. We ordered my size from the manufacturer so that I wouldn’t have to have it sized (we heard that a lot of times the diamonds fall out as a result of damage during sizing). I have been engaged for a little over 2 months and its still sparkling and perfect!

Also- we ordered the center diamond from an online diamond dealer which took our cost down ALOT and we were able to get a larger, better quality center stone for the same amount we would have paid for a lot less at the store.

@purpledaisies:  That’s my ring! Lol. But I just have that setting. We put a RB diamond in the center. It is bigger than the cushion and much better color in the center stone (in my opinion) I haven’t had any problems and get compliments ALL the time πŸ™‚

I agree the rings in the collection are way over priced. That’s why we bought the setting (still over priced lol) and got our diamond somewhere else.

@purpledaisies:  No, we did not go to Kay’s. We bought the setting from Jared’s ! (Much better customer service) I agree with a PP on buying the setting from them and the center stone elsewhere. They set my diamond for me when the setting came in from being made in my size. If they have to go more than one size up or Down they custom make your ring. Some people don’t want to wait for that and just have it sized and then deal with stones falling out. Yes RBs face up the biggest out of diamond shapes. Not always depending on the cut but usually. My center stone is noticeably larger than the stock version of my ring in the store, and not just with them side by side. I went in to get it cleaned and the sales lady noticed right away. And it’s not a huge different in carat weight from the cushion the stock ring comes with. Just do your research on where to get your diamond πŸ™‚

Jared and Kay are the same company, so it make sense that they’d both have the Neil Lane rings.  πŸ™‚

My fiancee bought my Neil Lane ring from Jared as well and when we went to get it sized they told me that Neil Lane rings can only be sized one time or the diamonds in the band will start to fall out. They sent out for a ring in my size and they let me hold on to the smaller ring. It’s been a month since we ordered the new size and we still have a month of waiting before I get it back. I really hope I don’t experiance the diamonds falling out after waiting 2 months for my ring.
