Weddingbee boards

One of my friends volunteered to do our engagement shoot in a park, with a lot of traditional shots/poses. Our photographer is doing a free engagement shoot as well, which we're doing two days before the wedding. So we decided to make this one a bit less traditional. He asked me for a theme, and based on our personalities, we decided that "nerds in love" would be perfect! We're doing the shoot in a library!

So here are our ideas so far: we want to be more subtle with our clothing than, say, dressing as a nerd for a halloween party. (Our photog suggested taped glasses and pocket protectors - we're taking that down a notch.) I'll probably wear a light blue button-down shirt with a dark, straight plaid skirt, ballet flats, hair in a bun and a pencil behind my ear - so more librarian than over-the-top nerd. He wants to wear a button-down shirt, tie, and khakis (that can be rolled up if we want to get really nerdy for some pictures.) We both have glasses that we don't wear regularly - him for reading, me when my contacts are out - but we may try to find some more nerdy looking ones.

As far as poses, I think it would be fun to have one of us holding up a book and kissing behind it, one of us eyeballing each other over opposing political books (our political views are a source of contention but more often a joke between us), maybe some poses with some other books that make light of our differences. Maybe a shot of me poking my head through a shelf to look at him, or vice versa....and some kind of a "heehee we're making out in a deserted part of the library" picture. If there's a "quiet please" sign, we could pretend to yell right next to it. Or he could be shushing me. (Again, another glimpse of our sometimes different personalities!)

Anyone else have any ideas for fun clothes or poses??

Nerds=sexy!! ;)

OMG I love all these ideas so far!! We may have to try them all! I think we should definitely do the chess board.....and we'll have to spell out our names in a crossword puzzle. (We do crosswords all the time. We keep a book of them in the bathroom. 'Cuz we're nerds.)
