I have not even begun looking at dresses but I need advice.
I have major stomach problems that flare up during the school year due to stress. I can only imagine them worse because of wedding planning.
At the beginning of last year I weighed about 25-30 pounds less than I did at the end of it. My main goal this summer was to gain quite a bit of weight so I could stand to lose it without passing out and throwing up all the time. (I literally cannot eat 2 out of the 3 meals a day. My doctor sympathisizes with me, but also told me they would never go away…)
Now, my wedding is in the summer. About a month into summer and around a year from now. I have gained 15 pounds since the end of the school year.
When should I get sized?
Can corset backed dresses be adusted really easily?
I am afraid the stress of a wedding will put me way lower than I was last year or the same weight now. It is so stressful.

Pretty much any dress you buy will have to be altered. This is true for just about every bride out there. I would see how long it takes the stores to order the dresses you are interested in (mine took 2 months to get in) and order a size larger if you are worried about weight gain based on your weigh when you purchase. Its easier to take a dress in then let it out, but most dresses can be altered either way about 2 sizes.

I think you should go in November, since most of dresses Take from 2-4 months or so to arrive, and about your loosing/gaining weight you can totally get your dress altered to fit you perfectly and lace up back it’s not hard to do, just takes a lil more time to do then zipper lol

I would make sure that you have a final fitting a couple of weeks out from the wedding. Ask your store/seamstress what’s the latest you can have a fitting before the wedding.
Definitely go corset back! They can help you go up or down a couple of whole sizes! This will ease your worry on the day.

Corsetted dresses can be sized pretty easily! Good luck 🙂
