I am a curvy person and I was always concerned about my hips but my MOH, FMIL and my mom convinced me to buy a trumpet dress. I had my second to last fitting yesterday and now I am a bit uncomfortable and unsure of my dress choice. My wedding is only 16 days away and it is too late to make any major changes. Maybe my vision is a bit fuzzy because I am nervous, stressed and sleep deprived. It didn't help that I was alone when I tried it on yesterday. I am including before and after pictures since I made a few changes. I had the square neckline changed to a sweetheart. Let me know what you think Bees. Please tell me your honest opinions.

Honestly, I think you look good in the dress. If you REALLY feel uncomfortable about your body or feel like it emphasizes your hips, you could EASILY add a belt and give the dress a focal point that would emphasize your small waist!
you look gorgeous!!! the sweetheart was a great idea. don't buy into the "hide your curves" mentality. if I dressed in what "suited" my body I would always be in a-line dresses. I love my curves!! you will look gorgeous at your wedding!
i think you look AMAZING in that dress, like it was MADE for you! and i know how you feel, i have hips and was hesistant to get anything that showed them off, but in the end, i got rave reviews about my trumpet-ish dress!

I think trumpet dresses look the best on an hourglass figure like yours - for straight framed girls, its just not the same.

Yes! It looks great! I think what's making you nervous is that it doesn't hide your hips. But it flaunts your curves in a really flattering way. You totally rock that dress.

@FutureMrsRugbee: Thanks. I always wanted a sweetheart neckline but I also couldn't pass this dress up. So I decided to have it altered. The price was AWESOME! I guess I should be thankful for that.
