buffers! to act as buffers. Basically there will be my mother and sister, Fi's Mom, sister and Aunt...and 4 of my friends. yikes! I really wanted them to meet first at a shower were there would be TONS of attendees and lots of buffers. And not when I'm hosting, which makes me even more nervous because we have a teenytiny apartment!!!
I hear ya! Today my FMIL called and said "are you free for lunch today? I want to take you to lunch." Excuse me? Alone without FI? Why? I called the FI and he came with us. LOL I can't be with her alone just yet!
It will be fine as long as you can be yourself and relax and just go with the flow!
They'll be fine. It may be awkward but at least they'll all act like adults, no?
And everyone loves kitchen stuff; likely they'll just talk about that =]
Just relax, especially because it's party with a purpose. It will give everyone a distraction from awkwardness. I've been to a *girls only* dirty party, and it just so happened that my ex's mom and sisters were in attendance (this was when we were still together). Even though it was dirty stuff, the awkward moments were few and far between, since everyone was so distracted by the stuff!

I'm about ready to jump out of my skin. My heart is in my throat.
I'm hosting a Pampered Chef party tomorrow and Fi's female side of the family and my side will be in attendance. First time they will all meet. And, I'll only have a few friends there to act as -oh gosh what's the word?? I'm so nervous, I can't even think straight!.
