just to be safe i'd pony up for express shipping... you never know how long it's going to take for the alterations - it is prime wedding season!!
I ordered my wedding dress from netbride. They gave me an exact date by which the dress should arrive. I ordered in late August, and I believe it was projected to arrive by mid-January. The dress actually came a bit before Christmas! From what I've heard, this is pretty typical... they are more than punctual and people are very happy with the results. I know I am.
That says, an August wedding is just 4 short months. I'm not sure they'll take as long to ship bridesmaid dresses as they would a wedding gown, though. See what date they project for you (you can always call or email), and decide from there. You might not have to pay for expedited shipping.
I was thinking of ordering my dress from NteBrides. How is the quality of the material and the craftsmentship? I worry that I will end up with a dress that isn't as nearly as nice as the one i tried on and picked out for them to make.
if you contact netbride and ask them "if i order today, what will my drop dead date be for the dresses to arrive" they will tell you. both me and my friends came in 2 months or less and way before the drop dead date we were given. good luck!
tberry, my understanding is that netbride gets their dresses straight from the dress manufacturer. if you tried on a dress at the store, it is the same quality as the netbride dress.
i just ordered my bm dresses from netbride on friday for my sept. 13 wedding, but didn't rush it. i'm not sure when your exact date is, but i was very strongly considering rushing them (i didn't). i would rush it if you have any concerns. i'd rather spend extra $$ ahead of time than to be stuck without dresses!
I love Netbride! I just got my wedding dress delivered last Friday. I did go the express route. They said up to 12 weeks and my dress was at my doorstep in less than 7. I paid the extra $50 for peace of mind, but depending on how much time you have, it's probably not necessary. The people at Netbride were some of the nicest vendors that I've worked with so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them. They'll be happy to work with you to make you happy.
I had a great experience ordering bm dresses from Netbride. The customer service was excellent (better on the phone than through email), and the dresses came much earlier than the time they allowed (I think it was a month early..?)
Oh, and the dresses were about 40% cheaper than through a store.

Hello Hive!
I'm FINALLY ordering my bridesmaid dress for an August wedding from NetBride.com. Their website says it takes anywhere from 11-14 weeks. I'm paranoid that it might be cutting it close. Do you think I need to pay the rush delivery fee? (I'll probably need to make alterations.)
And what has been people's experiences with Netbride.com? They seem very positive in the testimonial section.
Thank you!
