i used netbride.com to order mine. i havent received them yet but my MOH also used netbride to order hers and they came in 2 months early and in perfect condition. a bunch of my cousins also use netbride.com with no problems.
I haven't ordered my dresses, but I have definetely done my research so I know who to go with when I order. I got online quotes from: Jaysbridal.net, Fairy Tale wedding, DoriAnne Veils, RK bridal, Lee Philip, and Pearl's Place. Pearl's Place had the lowest price and is an authorized dealers of all the gowns they advertise, which is ALOT! Unfortunately Netbride.com did not carry my designer, but they come recommended on all the knot boards!
That you ladies for the advise... I will def be checking out pearls place tomorrow! but I have to say that netbride will be hard to beat, it is about 33% discount from my local boutique and houseofbrides was 22%.
Netbride is awesome! Can't say it enough...they have great customer service. I ordered my wedding gown and my bridesmaids' dresses from them. None of the dresses were supposed to arrive until April but we got all of them last week. Plus I saved 50% on my wedding dress! Can't beat that!
Okay -- here is what I did. I found the dress I wanted at a small bridal salon "La Soie Bridal" in Irvine, then I found it online for $200 cheaper. So, I went back to La Soie and told them that I could purchase it elsewhere for $200 less -- and they matched the price. This means I get the same dress with all of the personal service but at the online price. Even if you purchase it online, you still have to find someone to do your alterations and your bustle.
BTW -- the price I was quoted was from Pearl's Place (this is the price the salon matched).
I ordered my BM dresses from Netbride and they were $100 cheaper (per dress) than they would've been in the store. And they came a lot earlier than expected!
I got my dress from Pearl's Place because they were an authorized dealer of my gown. The gown came in 3.5 months and in perfect condition. I saved almost 40% compared to all the salons in my area. Good luck!
I will definitley speak with my bridal salon about the price situation but it is in a very pristine area and I doubt they will go down that much! They sale my dress for $560 and netbride for $385! Although, I have already purchased one gown from they so maybe... Anyways, this dress will likely not need any alterations and it will certainly not need a bustle... it is knee length... :-) But I will have to have it steamed, does anyone know the cost of that??
I ordered my dress from bridalgown.net. I have not recieved it yet... however the service has been great so far. I saved almost $200 compared to buying in the salon where I tried it on. I'll keep you posted when it arrives. :) I am counting the days down...
I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from Netbride - they were great, the dresses arrived right away and they were $50 less for each dress than the cheapest store that carried them (only $100 each)!
Make sure you factor in shipping costs too when comparing the discount sites!
House of Brides offers free shipping, Netbride does not (but will match policies and price if you find it lower), and not sure about Pearl's. Shipping can be expensive on heavy gown. Hope you find your dress at a bargain rate!
i ordered my BM dresses from netbride. they were $60 cheaper, arrived way before i expected them, and their customer service was great. the only downside, is that the dresses seemed from a cheaper material than if i would've ordered them from the actual manufacturer, (watters & watters), and it was a lighter color than i had expected. i guess u get what u paid for. but now my wedding is 3 weeks away...and the dresses work, so i dont really have any complaints.
I ordered from Lee Phillip bridal - which is also an online store. Stacey was very nice to work with and will offer to beat quotes from other places. Give her a try. I was also hesitant in ordering my dress via on online company but i've never seen a bad review for them. JEN4637 - RK also offers to beat a quote from an authorized dealer by 5%.... maybe you give them the pp quote and they can beat it. I believe the cost of steaming a dress, at least in NY is $60-90... for that price, i'm going to buy myself a portable steamer and DIY!

Has anyone ordered a gown from houseofbrides.com or any online bridal store. It makes me nervous but then again it would save me 25% and given that I am Ms Indecisive I could use the savings as this is my forth gown purchase :-). Any advise of personal experience would be great!!!
Netbride is cheaper!! love it! Any advise on this one??
Thanks gals!
