I have been on FI's case for awhile now about registering, becuase my mother is throwing a bridal shower for me in December. He keeps putting it off and off. I finally asked why he kept putting it off, and he looked very confused. He said he thought bridal showers were where presents we only given to the bride (stuff like lingerie, etc). I finally clued in he didn't know that people were going to be giving gifts for us as a couple! Once I explained that, he snapped to attention and was like "well we better register then"! *groan* This is the same guy that didn't know he could have groomsman in his wedding if he wanted to.

Ladies, never assume that your FI knows what everything related to your wedding is about, lol!

LOL! That's hilarious! It's an education process. He's now starting to check in with me on things to make sure he's "on the same page"!

LOL...that's funny. I had to tell my FI that it would be kind of tacky to register when we were having a wedding with no guests...his response...that's OK I just want money anyway....LOL!!

That is so cute. That's great he  didn't realize and is now open instead of just acting like a jerk.

I told FI we were booked for a cake tasting. He didn't seem excited.  I thought it was a language thing...so I tried again in his language. Still no response.  A day later, I tried again.  He looked uncomfortable and said, 'do I really have to go?  What am I supposed to do?"  Confused, I answered 'you get to eat FREE cake.'  His eyes opened wide and he was like...'that's it? I ... just eat cake? And it's FREE????!!!!!'  I have no idea what was going on in his mind before, but his opinion totally changed when he realized his only job was to eat!!
