And yet, I’m feeling some MAJOR dress regret right now. I love my dress, don’t get me wrong, but my FI and I talked a little about dresses and apparently his vision for my dress isn’t like the dress I bought. So I was a little discouraged, particularly because of how he phrased himself (“disappointed” that my dress didn’t have a cleavage-baring neckline), and even though he later said that any dress I wear would be perfect, that statement stayed with me, and now I’m really not sure about my dress. Honestly, I’m not sure what the point of this post is. I can’t afford to get another wedding dress, even if I sell the one I’ve got. Maybe I just want someone to listen… Anyway, pictures.

Your dress is beautiful.
I’m so sorry that you are experiencing dress regret. Honestly, so many of us have experienced it, including me. (I was not a member of Weddingbee until after I was already married, and I had never even seen “Say Yes to the Dress” until after my wedding. Once I saw my own wedding pictures, I began to have dress regret, and then, once I saw all of these other amazing gowns, I really struggled with it.)
However, I finally realized that I made the best choice I could have given the options that I knew about at the time I selected my dress, and I ended up loving my gown in my wedding video, since I could really see the amazing sparkle of all the bling on the bodice.
Try not to focus on your regret, since, as you said, getting another gown is not an option at this point. I’m sure you will look gorgeous on your wedding day, and your FI/DH will love the way that you look.

Your dress looks fine. So what if its not his ideal, you yourself are.
I’m sure it’ll all be fine in the end. 🙂

It’s a beautiful dress and is SO flattering on you! Once you get all the accessories on and your hubby sees you he’ll probably think much differently! Tell him the cleavage will be for his eyes only on the wedding night

That dress is STUNNING on you. I like it better on you than on the model.
And c’mon, it’s a WEDDING DRESS! You don’t need to be able to see boobies. Pack a sexy neglige in your suitcase for the wedding night and everyone is happy. 🙂

Thanks for the support, ladies! I’m really indecisive to begin with, and I have some confidence issues, so I get discouraged really easily. It’s really helpful to have you all chime in and say that I chose well. 😀
And honestly, FI is a wonderful man, but he would probably have put me in this:
@HeavyMetalMomma: @hyperJulie: Lol. I will definitely do that. 😀

Oh my god what is that picture from? Lol!
And I know how you feel. My fiance is definitely a boob man.

LMAO if you get a cleavage like the woman of the pic right up, nobody would look at your face, less your FI… Ithink you look great in that dress, my FI also told me last week HE DOESN’T like princess’s ballgowns (which I LOVE).. And so I bought my princessy ballgown for my wedding dscuzzy honestly, I’d love to wear what he want me to but I wouldn’t love how I looked… So, stick with what you want, he’ll love u anyways 🙂

@hyperJulie: I saw it for the first time on Wedinator, I think, but I’ve seen it several times since then. I believe it’s from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, but I could be wrong.
@Mrs_powerz: Very true. 🙂 And I know I’d be super self-conscious in a cleavage-baring dress. I’m a 28H and not very tall, so I worry about my boobs taking center stage…

@kayrie95: Oh gosh, my EYES!!! LOL! Ewwww, well I guess we all know what a porn star’s wedding dress would look like! Anyways I think your dress is very elegant. Your fiance has not seen you in it yet so never mind him! Men think they know what looks good but let’s face it, we’re the ones with the fashion sense! Wear that dress proud girl, you look beautiful!

@kayrie95: I totally giggled at the picture you posted ! Boobs much ? lolol
Anyway, don’t worry, your fiancé will think you’re stunning on your wedding day I’m sure ! I mean, you look beautiful in your dress so take a deep breath and get some dress lovin’ ! 😉
Keep your chin up !

@kayrie95: WTF!! No dancing in that dress for sure. It’s like a car crash, I want to look away but I just can’t!
I think you’re dress is lovely. Personally I think covering up more is better. Do you really want your boobs hanging out in front of all your family. I wouldn’t change it. My FI could care less what I wear. Typical guy, he has no idea about styles! You’ll look totally beautiful on your big day!

You look great in your dress and he will love you in it as well!

I think you look beautiful in your dress, and lets face it, the photo above is horrendous……I would feel like a hooker in that dress. And also, depending on where you are getting married….(church) its totally disrespectful, of not only the place but your own body.
And if you REALLY love your dress , which you must have because you bought it, and I think you have just been knocked off coarse by his comment…..then you COULD have it both ways, have a sweetheart neckline put in, so that way you have the dress of your dreams, and he gets a little cleavage…..that little section in the middle could be shaped a little without ruining the look of the whole dress.
Personally I think its perfect as it is, its gorgeous on you, but its an option, rather than being unhappy, or changing the dress.
