Weddingbee boards
I feel like there have been a LOT of new bees lately (in the past month or so I guess), and I wanted to see if any of them wanted to stop by and say hello to the boards and (if they want to) out themselves as previous posters? I know some bees were not board users before they became bees, and some don't want to out themselves... but I think a lot of us like to know if you are someone we knew on the boards.

I've posted some since getting engaged in July, but never formally introduced myself. I'm jenewitt, or some people call me JB. My FI and I have been together for about 4 1/2 years and just got engaged in July in Block Island, RI. We're having our wedding in Savannah, GA on June 25, 2011. He's Brazilian and I'm Texan, so I'm trying to figure ways to incorporate those things into our Southern wedding! I love reading all y'alls posts on here and they really help me clarify some things I've been trying to plan!!
hello everyone!
i've been posting here for about a month i think. definitely wish i had found this site sooner! anyways, my name is faith and i live with my fi in colorado. i am an attorney. we are both from the east coast-- i am from southern virginia and he is from western nc... so we are getting married in a week and a half on the outer banks in nc!
we have been together for a year, and living together for most of that time. ever since i met him, i just knew that i would marry him-- before that, i was starting to think that i would never meet the right person for me (i am 31).
anyways, we are having a tiny wedding-- about 20 guests, and everyone that is invited to the wedding is invited to stay in this giant beach house that we rented for the week. the wedding is on the north end of the outer banks in corolla, which i am hoping will be a little quieter than places like nags head.
i leave for virginia a week from today and am spending a couple days with my parents before heading for the beach... here's hoping for no hurricanes!
i love reading all of your posts-- they have been so helpful to me both in terms of the planning process, and in calming my pre-wedding nerves.

While I have been an official member of the site for over a year, I have only been posting things recently. I guess I should introduce myself, as I haven’t prior to this point. My name is Cory and I am from Pittsburgh, PA. I obtained my two bachelor’s degrees from Carlow University. I have one in psychology and the other in philosophy. I just obtained my masters degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University. I am currently job searching. My lovely boyfriend, Pete, works for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He obtained his undergraduate degree from RMU in sports management and is currently a student at Carlow University working towards obtaining his MBA. He is expected to graduate in December. We are college sweethearts. We started dating about a month after the start of our first year of undergrad. In total, we have been together for 6 years. We put together the engagement ring and he has had it in his apartment for almost two months! Yikes! Lol. I genuinely believe I will be getting it soon though, so I am siked. I love my beautiful sweetie tons and tons and tons. We are anticipating that we will set the date for the wedding for a date during 2011. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him! We (Ricky and I) have been together for almost 4 years and we are 21 (me) and 22 (him).
This site has been so awesome. I am on here more than FB. I have to clear my computer's history everyday because I don't want Ricky to really know how much I obsess.....

I joined weddingbee about a month ago and have posted some. I absoutely love this site and feel like I live on it some days, you ladies are full of such wonderful knowledge and ideas!!! My name is Courtney, I am 27 years old, and I am from the Dayton, OH area. I attended The University of Tennessee and now work as a Staffing Supervisor for a nationwide Staffing (Temp) Agency...fun times, lol! I plan to return back to school to get a teaching degree in 2 years, want to do the High School level. I was diagnosed out of the blue with Multiple Sclerosis back in March of 2009 but looking at me you can't tell I'm sick and I seem to be doing fine, just a shot three times a week. My wonderful FI is Tom, whom I met after my diagnosis and has really helped me and accepted me and my possible health issues. Let's put it this way "In sickness and in health" will mean more than anybody knows on our wedding day. Tom is orginally from Cincinnati, Ohio, 26 years old, and enlisted in the Air Force (Jet engine mechanic) after high school. He now is out and works as an engineer at GE Aviation while attending school full time for a mechanical engineering degree. We just built a house together in a more rural area of Ohio in between Cincinnati and Dayton and love it. Quiet small town that's 20 minutes to any point of civilization we need. I love my Tommy more than anything and we already have a great family between me, him, and our german Shepherd Zoe. We will be getting married at the Masonic Temple in Dayton (almost 100 years old) and our reception will be at the officer's club on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. We'll be getting married May 21st next year!

I found the site a few months ago, lurked for a while then de-lurked a couple of weeks ago. I'm not engaged....yet! But hopefully one of these I will have a date by my name instead of only the city where I live! LOL!
The BF and I have been together going on 2 yrs, we started a LDR about 4 months ago when he moved to Burbank for a new job. It's been tough but I'm trying to hang in there. He says he will only be there for a year, but I think he loves it there and wants to stay. So now I'm trying to decide if I'm willing to move across the country to the unknown (and to a place with such a high cost of living!!! YIKES!). I also have a 14 yr old, who doesn't make friends easily, so it adds another loop to my dilemma. But I guess I'm just rolling with it right now and waiting to see what happens. :)
Anyway, I love it here cause I've always been fascinated with anything wedding related. Hope y'all don't mind having an not engaged gal hangin' around. :)

uh, I think Cogi Tales was refering to actual Bees (as in, the bloggers).
Not trying to rain on parades, or discriminate, just clarify.
I doubt any blogging bees really frequent the boards all that much anyway. :P
@sassmeister: lol i did... but if new board bees want to introduce themselves thats cool too! :) I know some bees were around the boards a lot (scissors, octopus, etc)... was just wondering if any of the newer bees are familiar faces with new names :)

Hello everyone.... I just joined this board earlier this week.... I found this site about two weeks ago surfing the net for wedding related stuff (I am not engaged yet).
My boyfriend and I looked at rings about two months ago so I hope that I will be engaged within the next few months (praying sooner but hope it's no later than six months, lol). I decided to post on here hoping that it will allow me to patiently wait for him to propose. What I dont want to happen is me constantly asking him about it or getting mad because I 'thought' he was going to ask and didn't. I do not want to ruin any surprises so I am hoping that this forum will allow me to wish/hope/and vent here :)

I randomly found this forum about 2 weeks ago. About a month ago my guy had taken me to pick out an e-ring/stones and I was wicked excited (!!) and wanted to talk about it, but the other wedding forums I found didn't really support "ladies-in-waiting." Somehow I stumbled upon this amazing place and I've been hooked ever since. My SO hinted that the proposal will be coming towards the end of the summer, so I'm just about going crazy with anticipation!!! I just wanted to officially introduce myself and say thanks to all the fabulous and supportive members of the "Hive." :)
@elephant: i didn't realize who you were until you commented on my blog earlier this afternoon! i knew you looked familiar when i saw the weddingbee blog post today, but i couldn't place you..yay! i love when people i already follow are "new bees"!

i think a lot of us lurk around. :) i still post on the boards, but not with the frequency I did a few months before the wedding! (Though I still read them daily. :) )

I'm not necessarily a new bee anymore, I guess, but I just wanted to echo everyone else that I'm definitely on the boards a lot! My posting on the boards has dwindled lately because I just started student teaching and I don't have NEARLY as much time to be on the internet as I used to, but I'm absolutely still around! :-)

I'm an old Bee too, but I totally lurk around a lot. I still have a case of board shyness (mostly b/c the active posters are BRILLIANT and have much better solutions and ideas than I could ever generate!).

Oh hello, I posted on the boards quite frequently before I became a blogging bee! I was xoxokristin with a little deery lou icon! I haven't been on the boards as much now because being a blogging bee does take up more time and I had to take the time from something else. I do enjoy voting in polls ("WHICH DRESS DO YOU LIKE?") every now and then though!

Like a lot of the other "old bees" I am a complete and total lurker! :)
I used to comment quite a bit before becoming a bee (I think I had well over 1k posts). But most of the time these days I'm on late at night and it seems the answers posters are looking for have already been given, so I mainly just stalk the boards in quiet!
