hey there... i'm getting married at AO on 9/10/11.
here's what we're doing:
Florist: Poppies & Posies. They totally got our vision and were reasonably priced, well, compared to other NYC florists. They're based in Brooklyn. Sierra is a total sweetheart.
Hair/Makeup: I'm using Jacqueline Bensaid. I believe it's around $300 per person which includes both hair and makeup. She's coming to the hotel to beautify us.
Caterer: My fiance :) He's not a professional caterer, but he is a chef at a restaurant in tribeca. We wouldn't have been able to afford the wedding at AO if wasn't for him volunteering to do the food ...he has a ton of work ahead of him but he knew this was the venue of my dreams. isn't he the best :)
Rentals: Since we're not using a catering company, we have to get rentals on our own. We're using Party Rentals Ltd - this is costing more than we anticipated...just like everything else!
Wedding Coordinator: Lisa Green of Anderson Green Events. She rocks!
Band: Soulsystem Orchestra

Hi! Makeup was one area where I really had a tough time finding people that were affordable (I may have just waited a little too long on that one, I don't know). We're using Metamorphasis NY - they were the most affordable I (though still pretty expensive IMO) and had great reviews on Weddingwire. We're paying ~$300 for me and ~$100 per bridesmaid/ mom/ etc, which includes on-site makeup and my makeup trial. Good luck!

Wedding Planner: Sara Kate Events FABULOUS!!! (I looked at Angel Oresanz with her and I would suggest getting a planner for the venue even if the caterer is fabulous!)
Caterer: Real Food Catering Also FABULOUS food!! I love Yen, she does an amazing job!

Hi everyone - first time poster!
My family has been very kind to provide a good budget for our wedding. Then as a suprise, they said they would spring the cost for Angel Orensanz in NYC! I am increadibly excited, but very fearful that the cost of our wedding will now skyrocket. (We were planning on doing something in Boston versus NYC).
Anyone have experience / prices for the following? I am looking for people in NYC or better yet, cheaper alternatives that travel from outter boroughs but are still great!
- Caterers that don't stink! (Currious about prices WITH alcohol)
- On-site hair and makeup (how much per bridesmaid etc.)
- Florists / decorators that don't cost an arm and a leg
Much appreciated!!! Any Angel Orensanz brides - would love your adivce as well!!
