Hi, is the coordinator you contacted going to be in contact with you throughout the time before the wedding? or just the day of?
That sounds about right. I've seen DOC price ranges in the Hudson Valley (and even in NYC!) range from $300 - $600/$750 depending on it seems how many times you meet with the person beforehand and what is expected of them day-of.
I would ask what it includes? Are they going to make a timeline for the day? Are they going to be drawing layouts for your location? Will they do a walk through with you? Will they be available for you to ask questions as needed? Will they be there at the rehearsal and for the entire wedding day? I think it's a great price. Down here in Atlanta, a good DOC will run in the $1,000-$1,200 range...
That's a good price. We have a DOC from Rhinebck who is charging us about $700 with the rehearsal included. She's also coming to decorate our tent and make sure the rental company has delivered every single item. And she's already taken the time to meet with us twice. She has been immensely helpful so far. Thank you ladies!! I just wanted to come back and let you know how it went. We ended up going with that wedding planner I had mentioned above... Lauren Paige Associates. She has been FANTASTIC so far!!! So happy I went with her!! We have chosen a venue and I also wanted to ask if anyone has worked with Ulyses Photography? They are number 1 on our list right now for photogtraphy.
i recently met ulysses in person and his wife Jenny and they super super people! if money were no object i would totally go with them, but sadly, they are way out of our budget!
500.00 sounds like a great price! I'm paying 1100.00 for mine! Oh and I should add that was one of the cheapest I could find!

Hi all! This is my first post here. My name is Elle and my fiance is Justin. We got engaged on Valentine's Day and are getting married on May 28, 2011 in the hudson valley. Right now we are looking into Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, but are debating if we want to hire a caterer or just go with a venue that has in house catering.
I recently contacted a wedding planner, I'm not sure what services I want to use her for right now. As of right now I feel like I can do most of the planning myself but DEF want someone there day of. Her price is $500 for day of and includes rehearsal. Is this a good price for this?
