The State Room in Boston?
You could also try museums, e.g. deCordova (a sculpture park), the Fogg in Harvard Square, the Museum of Science, the New England Aquarium, or the Arts for Humanity Epicenter.
Check out the MIT chapel by Eero Saarinen -- it's dreamy.
I think that maybe she should look at non-traditional reception spaces. Check out places that you can rent that aren't catering halls like museums.

Hi Bees,
One of my close friends has started to plan her wedding and is having a tough time finding a venue that fits her vision, so I thought I'd reach out to you! She loves architecture and is hoping to find a modern architectural wedding venue without gold chandeliers and patterend carpets. However, she is looking to stay in Maine, NH, Mass... and it seems there is less of that here! Any suggestions in the area?
Thanks fellow Bees!
