So we just moved at the beginning of the month. From a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house. Needless to say with FH and I, two dogs and a macaw we were bursting at the seams. Now I had too much space until today. Voila the pics of our new living room! Sorry for the bad iPhone pics.

Very nice! Looks classy and chic. I couldn't have white furniture like that though, not with hubby and 2 cats around.
@mizrunzou- We bought it this morning at Living Spaces. There are 2 locations in Southern California that I know about but I believe it is a chain

where did you get the rug??
all of our furniture is crammed into a storage unit right now so I can't post living room pics :(
I love the look! I know for a fact we couldn't do white... My FH is messy.
@ Bella- The rug also came from Living Spaces. Moving sucks but life will be beautiful in Hawaii!!!!! I can't wait for you to share pics of your new home in Hawaii!
I just might have to check that store out! I love your style. Sometimes I feel like we have no style. haha! All of our wood furniture matches, but I'm never really sure what to do about rugs and wall decor... I guess it would be easy to decorate with a hawaiin theme :) I can't wait to start unpacking and decorating now! We need new couches too. I was in love with a couch similar to yours, but it was light beige suede and dark brown leather and my hubby said we're too messy for that :( boo.
Love the furniture! Congrats on the new space! FI and I are moving to a bigger place in August and we are just counting down the days - SO exciting!
@Ms.Caniche I love your colors!! I was thinking about red too but ended up doing a grey and blue accent instead!

@jamaicabride - i LOVE your living room! it is so bright and colorful! i'm excited to use brighter colors in the new house :) definitely an inspiration!

@bloodgo...thanks. I painted this room yellow when I bought my house almost 10 years ago and it's the only room that I still like the color in. I changed furniture a few times but left the walls the same. I am slowly repainting everything else =)
@Magenta...I love the shade of blue...reminds me of a cottage at the beach. I also like the shadowboxes you have on the wall.
@bella...I got it from Rooms To Go a couple of years ago. It is more of a masculine couch which is why I got the ottoman in red instead of chocolate brown =) Had to put my girly stamp on it.
Here is mine (everything is wipeable/leather because our dog is a big hairy drooly thing) - It looks a little funny dimension-wise since it was shot with a wide-angle lens.
@ms mini....I love the floor...very nice. Is that a cow rug?? I have a friend who would love that...it's awesome.
love everyones!! i cannot take pix because i have a bajillion boxes that have encroached upon our living space due to the events i have coming up. i literally have 11 trumpet vases 12 fishbowl vases 7 18" cylinder vases, 7 24" cylinder vases, 7 hurrican vases, garland mardi gras beads floralytes and more in my living room. i also have my files spread out to ensure that i am doing everything required in our contracts, so yeah no pix from me, but after i get a storage room i will definitely take pix for y'all...
@JamaciaBride: I love your living room! It is so bright and beautiful. That is exactly how I wish ours looked. Right now all we have in there is a couch, so there is a LONG way to go!

@jordynrose...thanks...I love strong colors...they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside...LOL. My mom on the other hand...thought I lost my mind until she saw the finished product...gotta love moms

ehh not as current as they could be but it's still pretty much the same. Have since ditched the fan and the computer on the floor in the 2nd picture.
We just moved 3 weeks ago so we don't have anything up on the walls yet and the entertainment center is going to be swapped out soon but here is our living room again:

@ JamaicaBride - Thanks, the floor is a super durable laminate (we have lived here 7 months and not a scratch to be found anywhere!) - The rug is cowhide (a similar one was in a showhome by our builder and my FH really wanted one - I actually really like it - if it gets dirty you just wash it with baby shampoo and a hose and let it dry outside)
@ Ms Caniche - Thanks! The best part is that the top lifts up and flips into a wooden tray - awesome for when we have people over.
