So, my husband, the scientist and software developer that he is, sent me this link yesterday. I already chart my cycles with Fertility Friend, but he wants me to give this a shot too (partly just for comparison, and partly because he loves “big data” and thinks this is really cool). However, I’m skeptical that it does anything different than current charting apps.
What do you ladies think? Anyone heard of this? Interested in trying it?
I’ll likely give it a try to compare and see what I think, but I figured some of the TTC ladies around here might be interested 🙂

This is a Natural Family Planning App! Love it, I already use a similar natrual family planning app. I’ve had lots of friends who with NFP have avoided conception and have concieved.
What is the big data part your husband is talking about?

@asianbarbie: Big data encompasses a lot of things, but for this type of application I’m talking about the way they collect and analyze data from lots and lots of users to be able to more accurately predict trends or probabilities.
I’m going to try the app out this month, but I’m not so impressed so far. I already practice FAM (the Fertility Awareness Method) and track everything with Fertility Friend, and so far I think FF allows me to be much more precise. But we’ll see! Maybe this kind of app would be more useful for people who want to track some of their basic fertility information but aren’t interested in in-depth charting.

@SadieBee: I downloaded it too just to check it out! I thought the daily “tasks” were sort of cute, but it’s certainly not as in-depth as FF.
I also thought the $50 buy-in was really interesting. I haven’t done that, but I can see how that would be really appealing for others.
I’m going to try it out this cycle as well and we’ll see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!
