Pork is very affordable -- and also different! We're serving a seated dinner, and guests will select on the invitation between pork, cod or the veggie option (pasta primavera).
Is there a favorite meal or type of food that the two of you enjoy? Like Thai food, chinese, BBQ, etc.? Incorporating your favorite meals or family recipes is a great way to make it more unique and "you".

I am getting married next June, and lately my FI in I have been really thinking hard about catering. We are having the hardest time coming up with ideas. The driving philosophy behind our wedding is to make it unique to us as a couple and as cost-friendly as possible. We don't really get excited about traditional wedding food. We've been to some tastings, and while the food is good, none of it is unique to us and most of it isn't anything we would make a trip to a restaurant for.
Does anyone have any unique ideas for catering? We definitely want to do a dinner, not just hours d' oeuvres or dessert reception, since our wedding is in the evening. Help hive! I am drawing a huge blank on this!
