So, I caved and adopted a 2nd guinea pig to keep my other boy, Tycho, company. Right now he’s being quarrantined just to make sure he’s healthy and I’ll be introducing them in about two weeks. I hope they get along!!
Anyway, I’ve had this guy since yesterday afternoon and I still haven’t been able to come up with a suitable name for him! Right now I’m leaning towards Auggie. I’m not so fond of the name itself, but it just seems to kind of fit him. I like the name Jack for him to go on a Halloween theme since he is black and orange, but it is too close to my name so that would be weird lol.
Anyway, here’s a few (bad) pics for inspiration lol
He’s a pretty friendly little guy, especially after coming from a shelter. More so than his “brother” even lol
Here’s Tycho, just wanting to say hi 🙂

What about Magoo or for Halloween you could do Hocus Pocus (I love that movie) or Ichobob from the Headless Horseman.

It’s probably silly, but when I first saw “Tycho” I thought of the toy company. Which made me think of Mattel for the new guy .

I love pigs! The first thought that came to my mind when I saw him wsa “Rosco.” Fiance always laughs at the names I give animals, lol..

@bohemian- Ha, Ichabod was my very first idea, but I have a tendancy to sometimes shorten names and add “y” at the end, so Ichabod would be Icky lol
@Scottie- He’s actually named after Tycho Brahe the astronomer. I’ve considered naming the new guy Keppler so that people would get it, but it doesn’t bother me enough and I don’t want to sound too pretentious lol
@Kirabee I’ve actually had a pet named Rosco already!! lol I was like 14 and it was a fish that killed itself x.x I wasn’t a very good fish mommy at the time.

Awww, he’s so cute! I love the name Jack! But if it’s too similar to your name, I guess that won’t work.

So funny, I thought Tycho as a toy company and I instantly though of Tonka for the new lil guy!

when i think tycho, i think penny-arcade, and by that train of thought i would name him Gabe. 🙂
other tychos i think of would be the astronomer and a character from star wars. i like the idea of naming him after another astronomer though! hubble sounds like such a cute name for a piggu.

Tiger! I don’t know why (maybe the stripe?) but he looks like one.

I love GP’s! How about Mr. Pigglesworth?

I so want a guinea pig right now. When I heard “Tycho” I immediately thought “Brahe” (Bra-hee) because of the astronomer.
I must say though, Mr. Pigglesworth is totally cute. He also looks kind of like a Boomer to me….maybe a Jeff….

How about “Mel”, short for caramel? (His coloring)

I had a cat named Rico Suave once…you can totally use the name if you’d like LOL

I have always liked the name Captian Bubble Butt for any kind of animal. My cousin has a very fat cat, his real name is Sam, but she calls him Captian Bubble Butt!!
I also really like the names Tonka & Boomer!!
