Weddingbee boards

Hello everyone! I am so glad to find this site. I have read so many awesome posts and can't wait to utilize these forums in the days ahead for wedding planning!

My fiance and I got engaged 11-29-09.  We had been together for 13 months. We both absolutely LOVE Indian food. I mean, LOVE IT. We go to the local indian restaurant probably 2-3 times per month for lunch. 

We went to look at rings on 11-11-09.  Come to find out later, the ring I loved, he put a deposit down the next day.  He picked up the ring 11-29-09 and couldn't wait. I didn't know he had the ring. But, he invited me to meet him at the indian restaurant for lunch.  As he was getting ready to pay for lunch, he turned his hat backwards.  When he turns his hat backwards, it always means he's "about to do something." SO I asked him, "What are you about to do...?" I really had no idea, though. He said, "Well I am about to pay for lunch."  We got all paid up and walked outside. There's a balcony that overlooks the busiest street in town, and it's on the 2nd floor, overlooking a courtyard down below. 

I was walking ahead of him, and I turned around to see him stop walking. He got on his knees and I was like, "What's wrong? Are you having heart burn or something?" He waved me over, and I kept repeating, "What are you doing, what are you doing?" He just smiled and grabbed the ring out of his pocket and said "I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" I kept saying "Oh my gosh oh my gosh and hugging him." Finally I was able to say "YES Of course I will!!"

So there it is, and we're both very excited!!!  We are planning on probably 3-19-11.  We want time to save a little money and not be in debt over the whole thing.  He's already looking at photographers, and we have been looking at venues as well.  It's all so much fun. I just hope I don't turn into a bridezilla - gonna do my best not to!
