I've been struggling with the same thing for months now.... I've still done nothing major. Sorry, I have no real advice, just wanted to say congrats on the new home since!
cathedral ceilings are great for big pieces of artwork. what's your style? my parent's house has a few big pieces of ironwork on the walls, and they're gorgeous. i would keep the colors fairly neutral on a wall that big. i'll look around for some inspiration.
One of my favorite bloggers is http://delightbydesign.blogspot.com/. If I remember correctly, there are a few cathedral ceiling pics in her recent posts.

Kitzy - I guess I don't really know my style - I like bold colors on accent walls - we like rustic looking but our house is super contemporary so I don't know if that will work.

I would love to know of some great decorating resources - books or magazines as well as websites.
I am particularly interested in how to decorate a room with a cathedral ceiling - yikes! I am completely overwhelmed any help would be greatly appreciated.
ALSO would love personal photos of cathedral ceilinged rooms well decorated/interesting colors. THANKS!
