I think I'm changing my registry! I had registered for the silver one but the new 90th Anniversary one is RED:-))

I use my KitchenAid mixer all the time - I love it! My concern with the one you posted is the glass bowl. I could totally envision myself dropping it and having it shatter all over my kitchen. Mine, luckily, has a metal bowl :)

@redherring- Thanks for noticing that! They do sell a separate metal bowl. I use glass bowls all the time in the kitchen and haven't had any break but, I wouldn't want to use the glass for everything. I love the handle and the pur spout on it, though!

I still have my parents avocado green KitchenAid mix master that has a glass bowl.  It is over 25 years old.  I will try to take a picture to show you!

I got a red one for our wedding (not with the glass bowl).  It was one of the last gifts we received and I was contemplating buying it with gift cards before we got it.  I had decided I wasnt going to buy it because I couldnt justify the price vs how much I would use it.  I am so glad we got it as a gift though, I thought I would use it maybe twice a year and I have used it about 5 times in the last month or so!  I used to buy buttercream frosting in the can from the store but every time I used it and didnt put the cupcakes in the fridge the frosting melted all over the place.  So now I make my own frosting and for the first time this past weekend I made cupcakes from scratch!  Chocolate Guinness cupcakes with Baily's Irish Buttercream frosting to be exact. :)

oooh swoooon! I love this red. Fiance and I haven't moved in together yet - think I can convince him to have our kitched decorated to match this?!

I am hoping I get one of these as a shower gift. I know that sounds obnoxious and spoiled as heck, but my college girlfriends and I have a tradition of giving kitchenaid mixers as group gifts so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I need it to make my favors, LOL

    @cinemapardiso and @arizonabride - I found the recipe on smittenkitchen.com

You can view it at http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/01/car-bomb-cupcakes

Delicious!  I didnt make the filling, I just did the cupcake and the frosting - the frosting you could definitely taste the alcohol.  The cupcake had a VERY slight taste of guinness which was good because I dont like beer.   Next up to try is red wine cupcakes! :)

I'm in love with the glass bowl. I bought myself a mixer and it's the 6 qt one, so they better get on top of making the 6qt glass bowl for me to buy!

And I really want to see that picture of the avocado one! please post it!

Glass is great (other then the dropping and breaking it factor).... you can use it in the microwave if you need to heat ingredients = less dishes!!

I always wanted a red one - but FI hated the color.  Last Christmas, my gift was the silver one.  We weren't engaged yet, but the fact that he bought it in a color he could live with MADE my day - not to mention, loving the gift! :)  It was a win-win for me :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my kitchenaid mixer!!  That red one is fabulous!

I just got one as a surprise gift from my husband and I have been baking like a maniac since I got it!  I have to say, I love my 6 quart bowl...I didn't think it would make that big of a difference, but it is really nice to have - I highly recommend it.    I also HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the Beater Blade attachment.... it has changed my world.  It cuts my mixing time in half!  (For those that doen't know what it is, it is featured at the bottom of that Crate & Barrel link posted by *arizonabride*. Here is my new best-kitchen-buddy:

P.S. NAANGEL: thanks for posting that link for the recipe - sounds fab!

    Thanks for the recipe, naangel!

Does anyone have the ice cream maker attachment? I make homemade ice cream in my Cuisinart ice cream maker but it's really small. Just wondering if it works well.

I've been thinking about the ice cream attachment too! Lavender ice cream is my most favorite thing in the whole WORLD and I can't find it anywhere, so I'd like to make my own. Boy is thinking about getting it for me for Christmas, I hope!

I got mine for Christmas 2 years ago from my mom and I am so in love with it.

I have the six quart kitchen aid mixer in white. I love to use it. It makes everything so easy. I also have the kitchen aid toaster, food processor and food chopper. I love to cook, and these make it very easy. I also have the ice cream maker for the mixer. It works awesome.

I have the red one!  My aunt got it for us (okay, who am I kidding- for me) off of our registry.  I am planning a red accented kitchen/dining room totally based off of the stupid mixer.  Yes, I am nuts. :)

@RecessionistaBride, I completely agree!  I'm swooning over the glass bowl (not so much the red mixer though) and I REALLY hope they make it a stock accessory after the "Anniversary" is over.  I need a extra bowl at some point and the glass one is just so freakin' cool!

We just got our first gift which was a RED KitchenAid from my Sis/MOH. I LOVE IT! I keep thinking of new things I can use it for. I just used it this weekend to make soft pretzels and I'm thinking oreo truffles are next! (:

I love love love my KitchenAid. Mine is in cobalt blue and my fiance's is white. We both use ours ALL the time and when we combine households, we'll keep them both out on the counters for our daily use. They are the best!!!

It was our first wedding gift, just got it 2 days ago.  I'd really like to break it in, but the kitchen is overflowing so much already I might have to put it away until we move in to a different house.  Sigh.

I got one!!! Not the 90th Anniversary one, but my parents bought me the one at Costco in Empire Red. I think I'm glad they got me what they did because it has 150 more watts of power than the 90th Ann. one. Used it so many times over the last couple days already. Awesome!!! I made mashed potatoes ans I didn't have to do the mashing! I didnt realize all the different attachments available. I took the juicer off our registry because KitchenAid makes a juicer attachment that does essentially the same thing as the manual juicer we had on the registry.

I'd love to hear reviews of the pasta making attachments, food grinder, or any of the other accessories.
