I wouldnt actually put your last name in..
ours at the moment is hisfirstname.myfirstname@gmail.com save the confusion and easier to type!!! or you could put yourfirstname hisfirstname and then the intials? of your last names?
yeah i would so skip your last name... no offense, but as someone who has my first middle and last name in my gmail, it's a pain in the behind! Can't wait to change my name, it's going to be about 10 letters shorter :D
I'm glad someone posted this! I am still waiting, but I totally just created my married name account. My first name and my new (to be) last name are VERY common, and most of the ones I wanted to try were taken, however right now I have
FirstnameMiddleinitialLastname@gmail.com and this is going to be the same with the new last night.. should be an easy transition.
I'm just glad I got it now!
Really? No maiden name even if I'm hyphenating? Ugh. This is so tough for me to make up my mind for some reason. I really don't want a super long email though...
I'm just going to go with FirstNameMiddleInitialNewLastName@gmail.com
I'll keep my other email address with FirstNameMiddleInitialMaidenName@gmail.com but forward all email to the new address and tell everyone new address. It's just an email address to me so I am not that worried about it I guess.
Um admittedly I have already searched out practically every possibility for my married name in gmail. My maiden first and last is a pretty common combo so I had trouble getting my original email a few years ago. His last name is really common too and I can't find anything without it being reallllly long or complicated.
if it makes you feel any better, I have signed up for THREE different email accounts using my BOYFRIEND's last name. Yeah. We're not even engaged yet.
One night, right after we started talking marriage, I went to check if firstinitialhislast@gmail.com was available, and freaked out when it wasn't (he has a relatively common last name). So I started reserving names left and right.
He maybe found out about it the other day when he was on my computer checking his email, because one of the addresses popped up when he started to type his own. Oops. He didn't say anything (admitedly, he probably didn't realize I had 3 addresses, hehe) though.

Right now, my gmail address is firstname.lastname@gmail account and uses my maiden last name.
I've decided to take on my hubby's and still keep my own. The only problem is, it would be an email address with TEN syllables, if I did first.maiden.last@gmail.com
Has anyone come up with any creative ideas around this?
