Haha. Not me. I'm actually not a Martha fan. I know a lot of girls who will want to take a look at thise issue, though!
I totally heart her mags - the only thing is that I have made up my mind on so many things for the wedding and when I look through her mags I feel like its back to the drawing board. I feel the same way with Real Simple Wedding mag...OY VEY!!!!
I picked up Real Simple a few months ago and was shocked at Check Out to discover I had just spent $13 on a wedding magazine! Egad.
I just got to the section in MSW with the wedding of the owner of Hello Lucky. Sooooo cute. Ugh.
I read it- it's a WHOLE lot of pink compared to my green and mostly white wedding! But I got some really cute ideas and the pictures are gorgeous!
I guess my username gives clues that this issues color scheme made my heart sing a little. But even though pink is my favorite color, there won't really be any of it my wedding. Doesn't fit well into our "Prarie Home Companion" Lake Wobegon-esque wedding.
But in my "other wedding" dreams I am having a crazy courtesan Marie-Antoinette pink-glorious wedding.
I slobbered all over the pictures of the Hello!Lucky owner's wedding. It reminds me of the wedding from Big Fish!
Can I tell you that I was crying to my fiance, who though I was a fool, because I loved the dresses in the ballerina inspired section so much, I was questioning my dress? I was in a pre-professional ballet program as a teenager and absolutely adore anything ballet inspired. But I was acting ridiculous about it (I blame it on stress...my one major "freak out"). And being in DC, I love anything and everything cherry blossom inspired. We'll just have to make do with our Wilton Armetale "cherry blossom" registry items.
AHHH I HAVENT READ IT YET! Lol. I'm saving it for by the pool reading this week on vacation... FI promised me he would buy it for me if I would wait and do my work this week!
Also, I'm loving all the pink!
I never actually bought a MSW magazine during my wedding planning. They were just too expensive and I felt I could find everything online. I got free issues of Brides and Elegant Bride and all those other 90% advertisements magazines.
I've developed a wedding mag ritual. I used to buy them, quite a few, but now I just go to Borders on Fridays, order a coffee and a snack, and sit down in the cafe area with a stack of them. I write down everything I'd like to replicate from them in my ipod touch and leave the mags behind. $5 for a coffee and snack sure beats $20 or $30 on wedding mags! I too have reached the point that they don't offer me much new advice that would prove helpful. Usually the weddings are WAY more elaborate than what I'm planning. But the pics can make ya swoon!

I have limited myself to only buying Martha Stewart Weddings, to limit my spending on wedding magazines and I am so excited about the new issue that just came out. I finished half of my midterms today and it felt so nice to come home, snuggle up in my PJs and read some wedding junk for awhile.
Highlights thus far:
Christos Swiss Dot Ballgown
Dirt Dessert Cups w/wooden spoons
Ballerina section...that pink dress made me drool a little...mmm.. but $15,000. Yikes!
Any one else a nerd for some Martha?
