FI and I have a memory foam mattress, and I think you just have to make your own bounce!! LOL. I never really noticed the difference between a spring mattress and the memory foam, if I’m being completely honest…. I hope you and DH are able to make it work somehow!!

@thenextmrsi:  FI has one and I hate it. I don’t like it for sleeping either, its ok, but I like to be able to roll freely without getting stuck in a “rut” haha.. I can’t wait until we move in together so we can get a regular spring mattress together!

@thenextmrsi:  I love memory foam mattresses! At least, I thought I did. They seemed pretty cool in the store, but not if they make sex suck 😛

yea, we have a Tempurpedic  and sex on this (as compared to a regular mattress )  just isn’t as fun.  The problem is the sinking in and there isn’t much to do to overcome it.  there was actually an article somewhere about how these mattresses are causing sexual dysfunction in marriages but boy the sleep is great! I bought us the liberator ramp thingy , totally tmi but when we use it , it eliminates any issue caused by the mattress

@thenextmrsi:  It is seriously unfair how a mattress can affect your sex life. I had a foam (non-spring, but not memory foam) mattress once and it was horrible for sex. Memory foam is even more “dead”. Ugh! I can’t enjoy sex on the floor either. I need a new mattress and I am for sure not looking at memory foam. Mattress really should come with sex ratings. Yes, silly, but it would be nice. The only thing I can think of for you to try is off the edge of the bed. He stand on the floor and you can either be on your back with your legs in the air or on your knees and bend them til your butt and feet are about even. And I think the horrifically named doggie style might be ok. Also try on your side with one leg in the air and one on the bed inbetween his legs. Just keep trying new things til you find one that works.

We have a memory foam mattress and I have never once even thought about it or noticed a problem! And oh do I love sleeping on it.

In fact, I don’t like sleeping or having sex on the regular spring mattress that’s in my room at my parent’s house- it moves too much and feels unstable!

@thenextmrsi:  HAHA we have one and I guess we hvae never been bouncers beacuse we have no issues being intimate on it. I actually prefer it because soft beds/couches etc don’t offer any… leverage? I just sink in and then the angle is bad. Maybe you need to put your hips to work!! 🙂

We have a tempurpedic and I actually like the less bouncing. And also no noise 😀 Now it’s awkward whenever we’re out of town and try to get busy on a spring mattress. Our friends who had a spring mattress thought we were crazy…and then they got a tempur pedic. They have totally come to the dark side (and actually just had a baby, hahaha)! Give it time. *evil grin*
