My mother in law bought my daughter a lobster costume for Halloween:
http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Halloween-Costumes-Original-Lobster/dp/B005KWH5EC
It is adorable and so differnt from the football/pea-in a-pod ones that I often see.
We will be vacationing in Hawaii and I think my sister is going to screen print a coconut bra onto a white onesie and we'll try to find a grass skirt so she can be a hula girl. :)
Unless anyone has a better idea :)
So when Halloween comes around DS will be 8 months old so I'm no longer a new mom but I love the monkey costume we have. We tried it on him a few weeks ago and I couldn't resist a picture.
Baby Bear will be 2months old and I am getting her a pink onesie from Carter's with a skeleton on it.LOL I want something more elaborate, but she's too little and wigglyforthat!
Well we're still deciding but we've called Liv our little tree frog since day 1 bc of how she curls up when she lays on our chest. I found this treefrog costume! So leaning toward this :) http://www.chasing-fireflies.com/lil-tree-froggy-costume/productinfo/35228/
@KellyV: That frog costume is adorable!! So cute!!
@Pelikila: How precious!!!!!
@eeniebeans: Love the lobster costume! I agree... it's different but so cute!
A pea pod or a baseball player. (Outfits he already has tweaked a little bit, since we don't know if he'll be here by Halloween or how big he'll be, so I don't want a go buy anythig in advance.)
This is my daughter's 3rd Halloween but I thought I'd share some pics from her first one (at 6 months as a unicorn) and last year (18 months as an Oregon Duck cheerleader).
This year she wants to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
We did the traditional sweet pea last year... (but she really is our sweet pea).
You can see her here seeing if she was tasty (yes she was)!
We just bought this year's costume and I'm not sure if I should share... but we weren't too original. She's gonna be a ladybug (but an adorable lady bug!)
Our daughter was a Ladybug, I don't think why the PP thinks it's not original? To be honest I don't see many unique costumes.
Our daughters nickname is Leightybug, so we thought it fit her well.. & it was so freakin' adorable. Maybe I should post a pic..
I love pigs, so me, my baby girl, and my pup will be the three little pigs.
@Miss Marbles: I don't think it's very original because Carter's manufactures a ladybug outfit (which is adorable, but mass produced.) I don't think it's bad to be unoriginal. We weren't original last year either! Original would be a homemade costume that you are unlikely to see anyone else in... Cute is cute regardless of commonness though...
Our son Westley will be here very soon and he will be the Dread Pirate Roberts for his 1st Halloween. I found a pirate costume and couldn't help myself. I can't wait till he gets here!!!
Last year, Addie was a banana. For some reason, my pictures aren't showing up, but I promise, she was very cute. :)
This year, she's going to be a monkey. She picked her costume out herself, and she loves it so much, I had to hide it in the back of my closet because she likes to wear all the time!
Our baby will be 5months old next Halloween and I don't know if I can resist doing the traditional pumpkin!!! Although my husband thinks it's embarrassing as all heck when they are older, hehe. We'll see who wins out! :P
@KellyV: We looked at this too! So cute
I loved the idea of dressing DS up as one of those car freshener haning tree things, but of course DH didn't like the idea. Instead he will be a little lion!
My husband and I are being ghostbusters (do NOT even get me started on how much time/$ he is putting into making the costumes...but it will be pretty fun!) and instead of slime our DD will be a little ghost :) White tutu, white long sleeve onesie with a ghost face on the front and "busted" on the back
My sons first halloween we didn't dress him up. He was just SO tiny. But last year we dressed him as Cookie Monster!!
So I saw this picture online today and was reminded of this thread. I thought it was adorable and might be an idea for someone with a new little one.
