So we were watching TV earlier this evening/wasting time on our laptops when the trailer for the New Moon movie came on. Fiance actually stopped what he was doing to watch it and said he'd go see it with me (even though neither of us are big Twilight or K Stew fans). Apparently, werewolves fighting vampires=amusing for him.

Anyone else going to see it next week?

Every time Twilight is mentioned, I can hear Bram Stoker rolling in his grave.

Not that it should deter the fans from going to see the new film. But still...that can't be a good sign. I don't plan on going! :P

I'm going for sure but not sure about next week.  I really liked the books, but love Harry Potter more!

I can't wait!  I am obsessed with the books... and though I was not a huge fan of the Twilight movie, I have high hopes for this one since the budget is way bigger :)

Team Edward <3  (I'm so lame).

@luli29: Team Jacob all the way!

I'm excited to see the movie but I'm definitely not going next week. I don't want it to be ruined by all the girls in the theater screaming everytime people come on the screen. So maybe I'll see it next month sometime. And like MissAsB, I loved the Twilight books but I will always love Harry Potter more.

My sister bought my FI and I tickets to the midnight premier. I'm only going for the half naked Men. I LOVED the books, but the acting in the movie was S***...and the freaking *sparkle*. Don't get me started. haha. I personally liked Eclipse the best. I wasn;t a fan of how Breaking dawn ended.

    Oh, and TEAM EDWARD! Woohoo!

Anyone else hear the rumor they are making Stephanie's other book "The Host" into a movie as well?

Umm...yeah I have tickets to the midnight showing. Embarassed I am a little (read: a lot) obsessed with the books and I am so excited it's not even funny. And I agree with the others - Eclipse is my absolute favorite book!

And @his barista - yes they are making it into a movie and I am SO. FREAKING. EXCITED! It is such a great book, and it will make an awesome movie!

We went to see the first one and FI said he absolutely will not waste another $10 and two hours of his life on going to see the sequel. However, his mother called me up and asked if I wanted to go, so we are going to make a day of it. I think it will be fun, but not the first week. They are not my favorite stories (I got all four and the movie for Christmas, but haven't been able to force myself to finish the last one) but it should be a fun girls' day out.

I was surprised that I enjoyed Twilight too! Actually my fiance said he wanted to see "New Moon." I said "you do realize that's the next movie in the "Twilight" series right?" He just was silent for a second (we were on the phone) and said "I actually enjoyed the last 30 minutes of "Twilight" OK?" Ok....lol.

Yeah, I'm more of a Buffy fan myself, but I always enjoy a fun movie, even if it might be sort of bad with the acting and the sparkling!

Good point about next week being a gaggle of teen girls. Maybe we'll wait for it to hit the cheap theater, or at least go to a matinee of it in a couple weeks. I haven't seen a movie in forever, I just want to go see one.

I read all the books, as well but I really didn't like them all that much. At least not as much as most people. And I really didn't like the first movie. I thought it was horrible! So I'm not really planning on going to see New Moon, at least not in the theater. I don't know though, I may change my mind if I hear good things about it.

I read the first book, was really into it at first but had some big problems with it by the end, and never finished the series. However, regardless of the fact that I didn't like the writing very much, I'm a sucker for the whole brooding sensitive bad boy thing, so: EDWAAARRRDDDDDD!!!!!!!

Plus, Robert Pattinson is delicious to me. Can't waaaaaiiiit!

I agree with laylabelle.. Loved the books (guilty pleasure) ... thought the Twilight movie was awful so I'm hoping the new director for New Moon has a better style
