nativedesires:  OMG.  Adorable! My parents have a black pom mix and he is adorable.  Even at 11 yrs old he still looks like a pup. I voted for London, but Joey is cute too.

OMG such a cutie!!! I just love pets with “human” names, because for me they’re family so it works better! I voted for Josephine

    What a cutie!

We are currently living in a First Nations community for my hubby’s work and the local language is Tlicho (pronounced Klee-cho). Here, bear is ‘sah’ and one of the teachers here named his female dog Sahcho (big bear). Little bear involves too many letters that aren’t in the english alphabet for me to even attempt but black bear would be sah dezoo. (The O’s are supposed to have marks underneath and are pronounced like the O in don’t. I assume it would be along the lines of deh-zo) While Dezo isn’t the prettiest, you could even go with Dezi or Dez, or some other variation. Or play on the bear word ‘sah’

If you aren’t stuck on First Nation’s translations there are some other options for little bear, such as Mishka (Russian) and Kuma (Koo-muh) which is Japanese. There are more suggestions here https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080308091641AAfKtQf

I have a pom and his name is bear!! Well his full name is Bearmy (like Jeremy but with a “B”) Lin! He only has to be called that when he’s in trouble haha I didn’t want to name him bear at first because that was his dad’s name but we couldn’t come up with anything else! I love your little baby! I’m such a crazy pom mom! I want another, then another and another but FI says no right now haha You didn’t ask for pics but I’m gonna show him off anyways! He’s my baby and goes everywhere with me!

    When I first got him!

Now! He’ll be 3 Dec. 19. Where did my baby go!!!

K-labree:  Sahcho for a little pom is adorable!  I would change my vote to that!
