Hi!
I am getting married in about 6 weeks at Cafe Amelie (Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House). My girlfriend recommended it not even 12 hours after we got engaged. Then, I was walking through the Quarter in front of it and heard a carriage driver say its considered the most beautiful courtyard in the Quarter. Its gorgeous...and the food is delicious. I cannot say enough good things about them!
My wedding is fairly small (65) but he recently told me that they can go up to 125.
Danny Akers is my contact there and also the planner. He is very helpful and detail-oriented. You can tell him I said to call him.
Google them...I'm including photos from their website!

Check out this link as well for more photos. I forgot to mention we are doing ceremony and reception there...

Hi fellow bees! I am desperately trying to find a wedding location in NOLA that suits my personality/what I have in mind for my ceremony. I really had my heart set on LaTrobe's, but they are a bit pricey- I am tyring my best to be a recessionista, after all! However, the rustic and simple yet elegant look of LaTrobe's is what I am going for. I would love to be near the Quarter, preferably in a courtyard setting, and would also like to have the ceremony and reception at the same location if possible. As of now the guest list will hopefully stay around 100 or less (as long as I can stop my mother's insanity of adding more and more people every week). I am thinking of doing this in March or April. Any ideas are welcome! I should probably add that I am not interested in any of the plantation homes or overly ornate venues. I have looked at the "usual" spots (the W, Maison Dupuy, St. Louis Hotel, etc.) and they just aren't speaking to me so far. Please help!
