Mardi Gras beads, moonpies, purple, green and gold confetti or candles or flowers, Mardi Gras masks…there are so many, many, many things you could do!

oh, wait…Are you going more with the jazz theme or with the Mardi Gras theme?

In the French Quater on Saturdays they have the French Market where many of the boothes have these miniature ceramic mask that have painted designs in all colors and varieties that are symbols of Mardi Gras Balls and they would be very unique for a centerpiece and they tend to be inexpensive (usually less than $10 for a nice sized/ornate one).

Also another idea is to do floral centerpieces with magnolias or even fleur de lis theme to give people a new orleans feel.

Pralines make wonderful favors and are true Louisiana treats.

Obviously beads in gold, purple and green make people think Mardi Gras.

I have also seen a really inventive design where the bride had different street name signs (Canal, St. Charles, Tchoupitoulas, Napolean etc) as table names. Each street was a metal sign that was placed in the floral arrangement and had beads draped over it.

There is so much that you can do with a mardi gras/new orleans theme please contact me if you have more questions. Being a new orleans girl I have seen it all 🙂

minature fake brass instruments

seafood cartoon theme (kinda like weddingbee)?

Cajun and/or Creole Food- YES there is a difference!!

NO BEADS! unless they are pearls- All New Orleanians think beads are tacky, and we can spot a tourist a mile away with beads on…

fake boobies -JUST KIDDING!!
