Ooohh thats soo pretty!!! is the gold like twisted up the side?? Id love a larger pic :)
So beautiful!!! That ring is so unique and gorgeous *gush* I am so excited for you.
Also, could you post your original e-ring? I am curious :)
@LovelyLaura: why sure! wouldn't pass up the chance to. ;D

2nd photo by Mark Morrell, showcases the lily shape best!
@bella731: here you go!

there's no sun today so I couldn't capture any of the sparkle, but you get the idea! it's a swirly twisted design, I really like it! and it's platinum, not gold, so says the engraving inside.
@patchy: both rings are so beautiful.
what a lovely gift! i would love for someone to gift me a jewellery box full of stuff. i am so curious what else was inside? i love, love, love all jewellery.
@patchy: ahh i love them both!!! thank you!! Ive never seen the lily shape before that is sooo pretty and cool, absolutely gorgeous!
@bella731: my pleasure! thanks!!
@mypinkshoes: oh my, I had to leave it behind since I'm in another country for a business trip (and I already miss it, wish I had had more time with the shinies! eeek). I only took with me the least conspicuous things, which is that ring and this small ruby & diamond heart pendant:

the photo does no justice to the color!! I took off the keys and am only wearing this heart pendant now, it was DH's fav out of all the necklaces too. it's actually my least favorite but it's definitely growing on me! my favorite was a bright blue-green troumaline teardrop pendant. I wish I had photos of it, it was sooo stunning, I couldn't believe it was mine! ahgh I just want to play dress up with the box now. :'O
You lucky butt. BOTH of your rings now are my ring crushes. Wanna just give me one?
@gangqinjia: haha I knoow I'm so lucky! there's another diamond ring, a fairly big (over 1ct, I'd guess) yellow pear with side diamond baguettes. @__@ and a ruby flower ring that is just my taste!! plus a bunch more, each so beautiful. I really wish I had that box with me, but it's too dangerous to travel with all that... <__<; DH's dad owns a jewelry store and has impeccable taste (he even designs jewelry on the side). I really lucked out, I'll never want for jewelry lol!
@patchy: thank you so much for posting the necklace. it is gorgeous. i love the colour of the ruby (my birthstone). i would totally wear it without the keys. it's so feminine.
i can't wait to see more from your jewellery box. i want to see the other rings you mentioned.
Your original ring has been one of my favorite on the bee!!!! You're a one lucky lady. A box full of bling!!
Lucky, lucky girl! That ring is beautiful. I also love your wedding band--where did you get it from? The color of the gold looks perfect next to your skin and even looks great with the new ring.
Both of your rings are awesome! I especially like the new marquis one, it's very unique.
I think I would just about die if someone gifted me a box of jewelry!! You lucky thing you!
Both rings are gorgeous ! I said it on another post, I love your set ! I have to say I would love to have your original ering ! hehe :)
@alwaysmsh: the wedding band is from van cleef & arpels! DH and I trawled through SO MANY jewelry shops looking for the perfect set. we only had in mind: plain rose gold band, and you'd think that'd be easy to find but NO! most places like to fancy it up or bling it out with little diamonds, which we weren't interested in. and of the places that did carry plain rose gold bands, the quality was poor. like, idk how to explain really, but when you wore it it'd just feel 'cheap'. but as soon as I slipped on this VCA band, we both knew it was "the one". it had presence, it was soft, and it was comfortable to wear! also it wasn't even that expensive. :}
thank you, thank you. I totally wasn't expecting a box of shinies either, completely stunned! I love my original e-ring so much but it's just not convenient to wear every day. maybe I'll take it out for a sunbath now and then. ;)

I love my original e-ring, which DH and I designed together (lily-of-the-valley bud made by Mark Morrell), but since it was raised it would scratch DH sometimes/get caught in my hair, so I'd planned on wearing only my wedding band after we were married.
until... on our wedding, his dad very generously gave me a 'starter jewelry box' containing many beautiful rings and necklaces, including diamond ones. I wouldn't buy diamonds myself since I think they're over-priced and ethically questionable, but I'm not gonna complain about a gift!! and it just so happened that one of the rings--and only one--fit my size 4 finger perfectly, so I started wearing it and what do you know?! I like this look! it's also not raised so it's quite convenient to wear, DH approves and says he would've picked something similar had we not designed our own e-ring, and so it's on my finger to stay... I love it!!
