- Wedding: August 2010
While I was SO angry yesterday about this, I have decided to laugh it off.
I bought my new wedding shoes yesterday. They are a pair of patent leather sandals with a slight heel (like 1″) and the sole of them are cushioned heaven. Seriously I wore these shoes all yesterday and they didn’t rub or make my feet hurt! So much better than the 4″ heels that destroyed my feet after an hour of wearing them. Oh and not to mention the $100 price tag, which I was relunctant to pay, but my mom talked me into them since I can wear them on the cruise too.
So I got home, kicked them off, and started cleaning madly since the Fiance was coming back later in the day and I wanted to get the house in order. I am out of the room for maybe ten minues to throw in a load of laundry. I come back into the room and out kitten was GNAWING ON MY SANDALS! Now I have about two dozen little bite marks on the sole near the toe and about 6 bite marks on some of the front straps. UGH!
He has never chewed on any of my shoes before, my only guess is that my other shoes aren’t expensive enough for his tastes. Honestly I was in shock at the time because I have never spent that much on shoes (well non-tennis shoes) and here they are being eaten by a cat. After I calmed down, I reassessed the situation. Unless I point it out no one will even notice the bite marks.
Today I am laughing about it because of COURSE I should have known our destructo kitten would do something like this. Now I keep the sandals locked up in my closet unless I am wearing them. Just thought I would share!
