He’s not trying to do this in secret or anything, so you two can have conversations about the ring, which is so much easier! You are doing him a favor by telling him what you like. I would cut out pictures from magazines or put together a set of links to some rings online that you like. Men often know very little about jewelry, and I’m certain he’s nervous about getting the right thing for you, so help him all you can.

My Fiance and I have made almost every decision in this wedding by me picking 5 or so things that I like and then handing it over to him to pick his favorite: Save-The-Date Cards, invitations, cake, printed napkins, etc. He’s so proud that he gets to choose what we’re using, and I’m guaranteed to like everything he picks!

@Hopefullyengaged: I’m having a similar issue regarding the ring. I want to go looking together, but I’ve mentioned it before and he said that it’s not traditional! Soo, what’s a picky girl to do? I’ve been obsessivley looking online. So far I like ShaneCo and James Allen, but there are sooo many more great sites out there! I’ve also been looking at the websites of local jewelers. I think what I’m going to do is copy and paste a few styles (including the links) that I like onto a word document and email it to him when I get the nerve!  This way, he has an idea of what I’m looking for but still gets to have all the control. I am also concerned that he might not want to shop around for the best of the 4 Cs, but I guess we have to trust that they’ll do their HW, right?

Good Luck
