This is my first post, and I’m really hoping I can get some help…
I have short, fine, and perfectly straight blond hair (chin length now, but I usually keep it almost “pixie” short). By the time of our wedding, I will be lucky to have it even shoulder length. I’m torn between wanting a beautiful up do for our summer wedding (it will be hot…), and wanting to look more like myself with short hair. BUT, I’m not finding any helpful inspiration for short hair styles.
Any advice on where to look for inspiration? All the googling I’ve done has led me nowhere or to 80’s style hair do sites. Any other short haired brides?

Welcome to Weddingbee! I think the best thing you can do is be yourself, not grow your hair out to look like what you think a bride should look like. There are lots of brides with short hair and they are beautiful too.

I typed “short hair bride” into Google and found quite a few good hits. There are some really cute headbands, tiaras, feathers, and flowers you could use.

Welcome. I vote for being yourself. If you always have short hair, that’s how people know you and how you expect to see yourself.
Short styles are adorable

Well first of all…..WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you joined the hive!
Here is how I am doing my hair for my wedding and I have short hair….just above the shoulders:
Here is with my hair 6 months before my wedding:
Here is it now:
Here is the inspiration for my hair:
And here is on me (I wont be wearing the headband!)
I love the way she did it…we are going to make it more volumn on the crown so the curls form a crown on my head. I also cut my bang so it will be more side swept.
I love my short hair cant wait to go back to it after the wedding…
I didnt want to wear it down because with it long its not me…so by having it pulled back and the side swept bang it still feels like me but with it done in fancier updo! (make any sense???? LOL)

@catiedidit: Welcome! Congrats on your upcoming marriage!
I LOL’ed at your 80’s sites….I know what you mean.
I think you should definitely rock what feels comfortable and confident for you. Keep it simple and perhaps embellish your hair with a headband or some type of flower!
