You guys all seem so nice here. Well, I’m in a LDR, engaged to be married next year. He’s in GA, I’m all the way in CA. Seems like countries away if you ask me. We had a pretty awesome schedule that allowed us to see each other very frequently because of his job, but with budget cuts in the last year, he’s not been here once. I guess the good part is that he flies me there at least once every 3 months, sometimes more and I’ve come to love his part of the south, which made it very easy for me to leave my life in CA behind, marry him and move.
I didn’t really have any questions, just wanted to introduce myself and tell all you ladies that LDRs work if you work them. We haven’t missed a nightly phone call in 12 months. One year left before my King and I can be together permanently. I’m waiting patiently.

I completely feel you about the long distance stuff….my fiancee is British and I’m American (from GA, actually)…so we’ve had our fair share of being apart! But Skype is certainly a God-send!
What part of GA will you be moving to once you’re married? How did you guys meet since you live so far apart? 🙂

Thanks! We’ll be in Middle GA, in Macon. We actually met while he was here working and have been dating ever since. Thankfully, his job covered most of his travel expenses and with the new budget issues, they’ve cut back, but by then, we were able to come up with a plan for us to go back and forth pretty frequently.

Well, hello there!! LDR’s are tough, but the “reunions” are always soooo special! Glad you’re now part of the Hive!
