- Wedding: November 2014
Hi Bees! I’m new here. My name is Kasey and my fiance and I are so excited to get back into wedding planning. We had a date set for next March, but due to my health, we had to push it back to November. With that, we discovered that the new date was much more meaningful as it occured to me that it was the date of our dating anniversary!
I have some health issues that have lead to us having to drain our original wedding fund. I had spinal surgery last October. Now this week, I have to meet with a new surgeon to have my non adjustable gastric banding removed. I am a plus size bride. When I was 17 years old, I had my banding done. It was great at first and even for the 1st year. Then it stopped working. We figured it stopped because I got pregnant. It never worked again. I followed the rules for it to the “T”. It is now at the point where it is too dangerous for it to remain in me. It has depleted me of nutrients that I need and has malnourished me. With the lack of nutrients has lead to many other health issues at a point now that it is not safe any longer. With that said, I am thrilled to be having it removed and I can diet and exercise properly.
Anyway…So we have decided to do a fall themed wedding. We haven’t done much as far as planning goes except we have our venue picked out and our wedding party selected. Other than that, I’ve been a Pintrest addict and finding lots of ideas for the wedding. We discussed a money saving option…We just moved into our first home from apartment living last month and have a huge back yard! We decided to use the fall nature to our advantage. We plan to plant all of our decor and some of the food items! So we have been doing our homework on planting pumpkins, squash, zucchini, etc and along with that, we plan purchasing and planting a Apple tree and a Pear tree as well! We figure we have this season to do a trial on them and if it all goes well, I can make stuff during the holiday to sell like apple butter (which is great because I’d like to make small jars of it for the favors) and applesauce, pies, pumpkin soup, butternut squash soup, etc…There are so many options!
I’m so excited to be here and to share ideas with you all! It is nice to meet you, so to speak! lol Sorry this got long…you want to say so much but don’t want to overkill it haha.
