This is my first cycle TTC, I just had my mirena IUD removed on 3/4/14, and I have PCOS with about 3-4 AFs per year prior to getting the IUD (3 1/2 years ago). On 3/9 I started a 3-day light AF (pretty typical of my AF prior to the IUD, though I didn’t know if this time it was just some withdrawl bleeding from the progesterone in the mirena). I’m using fertility friend, so they counted 3/9 as CD1, making today CD10. I’ve been charting BBT, and my temp is always between 96.8 and 97.3 (usually 97.2ish). Today I did my first OPK, and to my surprise it looked pretty positive to me. Would you guys agree?
This is after 4 minutes, which is when the instructions told me to read it.
This is after about 5 or so minutes, the first pic is a little blurry so I took another.
I know that even with a + OPK I may not ovulate because of PCOS, so I’m guessing the BBT is more reliable than an LH surge as an actual marker of ovulation for me. I was just a little surprised, especially since it’s CD10 and historically my cycles have been soooo looooong. I’m hoping that having the IUD for the past few years maybe “reset” my system (though I kinda doubt it). I’ll be hopefull I’m warmer in the mornings starting soon!… Thanks in advance for any input!
