oops, like this? how do i make it show up without you guys having to click the link?
it does look a little differant.. im not a seamstress however :(
I Love the dress on you tho! and welcome to the hive!
It looks like you have a French bustle...I'm guessing seven points?
Honestly, I think that it's the prettiest one you could have gotten. The bustle looks more like draping than pickups, and it flows nicely with the rest of the dress.
French bustles have some perks over American overbustles. The French points are much sturdier and will stay better during the course of the reception. Plus, if you had gotten an American bustle, they would have had to hide buttons and loops on the top of the skirt, instead of sewing the rigging on the inside.
Your dress is absolutely gorgeous, with or without the bustle!! Wear it with pride. :)
I love love love La Sposa dresses, I tried on a few that I loved, but just fell for my Watters even harder.
Anywho, I think the bustle looks great, and the dress is very flattering on you!
Thanks for the comments so far! I'm so glad I found this site, better late than never. I've been torn about who to ask since my girlfriends are all out of towners.
I have another question: Should the dress look the same from the front once it's been bustled? I feel like the bustling on the back of my dress changes the shape/silhouette of the front. Let me find a picture...
Here's the front of the dress with the bustle in place. See how you can see the bunching on the sides? Are you supposed to be able to see that when the dress is bustled, or should the dress look the same as it does when it's down (smooth) even with the bustle in place?
Any advice from you lovely ladies would be fantastic!
I think that dress looks gorgeous, the bustle looks gorgeous, and the front view with the bustle is gorgeous.
Nothin negative from me lol
First of all your dress is beautiful!
Second of all I totally get what you are talking about with the bustle. I have never seen one that is two levels like yours.. i feel like it is adding bulk in the back. I would just have one layer of the french bustle then there wouldn't be so many poofs. I don't know if that makes sense or not... I hope so!
I think it looks great. You're booty is rockin that dress. I'm not sure what could be done different about the bustle but I think it looks fine as it is.

Hi,
I'm new to this board and this is my very first post. I hope it comes through okay! I need input/advice on my wedding bustle. My dress is La Sposa Faro, and the material is silk. I'm not thrilled with the seamstress as she hasn't really given me many options for the bustle, but I've already paid for the alterations so I'm kind of stuck. Here's a picture of the dress with the bustle in place and without it. The dress is drop-waisted and assymetrical, so it is a little tricky..
What do you ladies think? I'd appreciate any comment!
