Congrats and welcome!  There are lots of budgeting tips but in my opinion the best is keep your guest list small.  The less people the less food, tables, flowers, and on and on.

@Waitingbee57:  Welcome to the Hive!

To save money you can look at options like a Friday or Sunday wedding, a brunch or afternnon tea wedding.

You can search lots of old great posts here on WeddingBee.

Soon to be congrats! 🙂 Agreed with PPs.  Find a venue or location where you can DIY or bring in your own outside vendors.  It’s so much cheaper.  DIY as much as you can.  There are tons of good threads and pictures throughout this site to give you inspiration, ideas, directions, etc.

Are you Crystal Lake, as in Michigan?  Depending on your location, some months offer discounts as well.

I don’t know what area you are in so it’s tough to say what’s doable with your budget or not. But my first thought is no.  Hotels are usually among the most expensive venues and they have very little flexibility as they want you to use their caterer and they normally require you to spend a minimum amount.  Still, if you choose an off day (M-TH), off season (winter), off time (morning) you may be able to accomplish it.  But definitely not a Saturday evening wedding in June.
