Here's another one that came in today's Cynthia's Cynopsis. Again, this is not the production company I work for, I just get the television trade emails that often have casting calls on them. This one doesn't look like it's even going to air on real tv, so to me that would be a huge plus (I'm a behind the camera type of girl!)
If I weren't married already I might actually try out for this one:
Casting Call: Martha Stewart Weddings and dLt Casting is seeking brides for a new web series titled I Do, My Do sponsored by Pantene. The show needs brides who are recently engaged and beginning to plan their weddings scheduled for June, July or August 2011. The series will offer brides expert advice from The Martha Stewart Team for planning their own one-of-a-kind celebration. Interested brides should apply now for a chance to fly to New York. Send an email along with your name, age, city, wedding date, reception location and a brief paragraph explaining why the show should select you; also include a personal photo that is less than 400k in size and in a jpeg format to MarthaStewartWeddingsCasting@gmail.com. For the application and home video instructions, please visit dLtCasting .com.
If you get any casting calls for newlyweds, let me know.
There was a casting call for people who wanted to do their weddings over. It's on the WETv site. It actually made me a lil sad for brides that would do that but oh well.
Oh one I saw the other day that I'm almost considering submitting to is this one, I hate my office:
Casting Call: HGTV is seeking homeowners who are desperate to have a room transformed for the upcoming new series HGTV'd premiering this summer and produced by High Noon Entertainment. In each episode, a different HGTV personality will journey across the nation in a red 18-wheeler to surprise someone with a room makeover. The HGTV stars featured include David Bromstad (Color Splash), John Gidding (Curb Appeal: The Block), Genevieve Gorder (Dear Genevieve), Sabrina Soto (Get It Sold, Real Estate Intervention) and Vern Yip (HGTV Design Star). Homeowners interested in participating in the show can upload room photos and videos at HGTV.com.
@heather25: Really? Me and the DH said that we do not want to plan another wedding in our lifetime. Planning a wedding is stressful. I would not want to go through that process again.
@heather25: Oh that is so sad! I couldn't imagine wanting a re-do! For all the good (which there was a lot of, luckily) there was definitely somethings that weren't great, but that's our memory of our one day. I couldn't imagine even if I had the worst wedding if I'd want to do it over, I think I'd just want to move beyond it.
@yrret107: & @seattlemeg: Yeh I think it is supposed to be for brides that hated their day. http://www.wetv.com/we-tv-casting.html#newweddingshow
So way to be confusing Martha Stewart. They say they want just a paragraph and certain information and then include two links for a video and a casting application?
Can someone clear this up?

Hmm, to be honest to get your best chance I would do it all. I would email the general info, then fill out the application and attach it (which has most of the same general info spots to fill in plus the signing of the release) and also make a video. The casting folks will appreciate that it all comes in one package, especially if you can upload your video to vimeo or youtube and just send them the link in the email.
@seattlemeg: I was afraid of that. What's me isn't really possible with a rest/little-movement order from my doctor.
@Knubbsy-Wubbsy blah I'm on one of those too and it's driving me crazy!!!
Boo I would love to do the first if only we were actually engaged.. Grr, boyfriend!

I was going through my morning routine reading Cynthia's Cynopsis (tv trade emailer) and saw this and thought of the hive. I am not affiliated with this program or this production company at all, I just have been in casting before and know how hard it can be sometimes so I figured I'd pass this along to the hive in case anyone is interested.
Casting Call:
Casting for engaged young couples with alternative tastes who need help from an alternative wedding planner for a new television project. The ideal couple must have at least one parent involved in the wedding planning and all parties involved must live in Southern California. The ideal couple must also want to do something totally out of the box on their wedding day. Interested couples should send an email to: CastingTalent@CheriSundae.com and include your contact info, a brief bio explaining what makes you unique as a couple, your relationship with each other's parents and why you consider your tastes "alternative." Also please include at least one current photo and or links along with the email.
From my personal point of view, I bet they're looking for "conflict" between the parents (most likely of the bride) and the couple due to "alternative tastes."
I bet if anyone is chosen they'll get the wedding planner for free and potentially some cash depending on the production company and what network this will potentially air on. I'm just guessing though, and again have no idea what channel this is for, just saw it in my trade email and thought of the hive! Good luck if you decide to try out!
