@orchidblooms:  We’re all really hungover so we’re going out for a good old curry: I’ll be eating tikka paneer with vegetable rice and a garlic naan, yum!

FMIL hosts a dinner on New Year’s every year of traditional German new year’s foods like sauerkraut, brats, soups, seafood, and special breads and cakes. It’s not my favorite foods but it’s the tradition and the cakes good:)

Nothing special–Potatoes, probably! We had our exciting dinner last night… Shrimp and pork fried rice with sugar cookies for dessert!

@orchidblooms:  Leftovers from the party at work yesterday! We’re both working today so neither of us has time to cook an actual meal.

A bit of a mish-mash. We’re having traditional Southern black eyed peas and turnip greens plus BBQ ribs and pulled pork.

We always have Chinese take-out for NYE and have a little leftover so we’ll eat that tonight. If we were home, we’d be going to eat with family and having turkey or roast beef.

@orchidblooms:  Just BBQ sauce, my DH isn’t to adventurous.  He used to do this because it is also his brothers birthday.  He used to have him and his wife over before we met.  But that wayside a few years ago after both of us started having kids

We’re having the same thing I’ve had for New Year’s Day since I can remember – black eyed peas, corned beef, and cabbage. Gotta get in your good luck, health, and wealth at the start of each new year!
