We got ours right after the previous NYE at a great discount and Party City when they had a 50% off sale.

We got NYE plates and napkins for the cake and then bead necklaces, tiaras, cone hats, blow thingys, and a few other things that I can’t think of.  We just bought a kit.  It may have been our guests but it did not go over well.  Maybe a handful of stuff was used and we had a whole display for it.

There was a girl on my month board who has a confetti cannon.  Her pics were amazing.  I have no idea what those things cost though.

I think we’re going to get hats and noisemakers but that’s it. We’re planning to wear hats during the reception and hopefully that will encourage other people to as well. We’re not going to buy enough for everyone though, because I’m fairly certain that not everyone will be into it. I’ve been looking online at party stores for good prices. Party City has a lot of sales.

Just ordered ours off of Partycity.com – we are inviting 100 – each kit came 25 female/25 male hats and noisemakers – so we got 2 for about $150.

@andyandsami:Hi! I’m here in Louisiana and we’re renewing our vows New Year’s Eve this year.  I have two goals, elegance and wow factor.  I decided to go with flutterfetti.com.  The confetti is beautiful and is more cost effective than individual party favors.  The cannon blasts out confetti the exact height of the venue and falls a lot slower than regular confetti.  Then it disappears; no clean up.  We use it alot here for Mardi Gras….hope you like it and if you do, I hope you can get it.

@phatlady:  Thank you! thank you!  What a really great idea…I bought hats, tiaras, noisemakers from Party City last week.  But I am getting the sticks for midnight too.  Very cool!

My DJ is supplying hats, glow sticks, and confetti canons (the flutter fetti mentioned above) included with her fee.

You might want to ask your DJ, they usually get discounted rates on party supplies from suppliers and might extend you a decent price.

I also purchased some glow rings and necklaces from oriental trading for a decent price (they were on sale).
