If you'd like, I can write a little informational post about it on the main page (probably the week before and then one the day of) - just let me know! :)

Sounds like a plan to me. I put it on the calendar. I vote for mid-town but I'll go wherever's easiest for everyone else.

are Newlyweds invited too or is it a bride-to-be event only?  No problem if you want to keep it to one group! ;)

Hey Ladies, I would love to join this gathering on Jan 22nd and have some ideas where. I figure midtown would be the most central location, here are some ideas:

Local West (34th between 7th and 8th ave)

    Rue 57 (57th and 6th ave)

Sutton Place (2nd Ave between 53rd and 54th)

I can give other suggestion if you guys wanna look outside of midtown. Let me know what you guys think.

I say any bee can come! And yeah whoever could advertise it on this site would be great. And any state too could come!

Local West at 7 would work best for me....

I could do 57th but I would probably be a little late...like 7:15 or something.

But that works, that's fine by me if it works for everyone else!

i'm still in the earlier stages of planning and DON'T technically live in NYC, but FI does, so i spend A LOT of time there. also, we plan to live there after the wedding AND have our wedding in NYC so i would LOVE to come and hear your ideas and share what little i've got thus far, heh.  i'm actually going to be in the city all day that day with my MOH (have an appointment at Kleinfeld's and then am going to the Met to do some school-related stuff) and am leaving on a bolt bus from 34th & 8th at 9:30 PM, so Local West would be PERFECT.

So it sounds like Rue 57 or Local West would work best...I haven't been to either but for those who have, is one larger than the other, since it seems like we're going to have a lot of people?

i haven't been to either, but i've walked by local west. just googled both and it looks like local west is *probably* bigger. it has 4 levels as opposed to rue 57's 2, the bottom of which is reserved for private events.  also, local west looks to be a lot less expensive...don't know if that's a concern for anyone else but frankly, it is for me, as a student who pretty much washed clean her bank account over this past month thanks to holidays and being on break.

Okay why don't we say Local West at 7pm then? Does that work for everyone? We should maybe set up a poll of how many people are coming so we can tellLocal West/make some sort of reservation, so they're not surprised when they see a giant group of us come buzzing in :)

Yay, its in my blackberry!  Here's a question- how will we know who the bee's are?  Is that a really silly question?  I feel like I'm going on my first blind date lol.  And I'm wondering if we should try to reserve a space since its a Friday evening and it looks like a bunch of us will be able to make it.

Hey Gals! (and guys, if you're out there!).  So since it sounds like we've got a good number of us, I'll go ahead and put a little post about it on the main blog.  I'll aim for this Friday, then post another one the day of.  Is this right?

    Friday, 1/22

    Local West

    7pm?

    Please confirm! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was trying to figure out how we'd know each other.  I hate that awkward moment when you walk into a place trying to find the group you're meeting, I always feel like everyones staring Undecided

i will bring the name tags!!!!! I also emailed Local West about reserving a room and they wanted us to drop a few hundred $$$ in room rental. I figure we are all trying to be good with our upcoming weddings :) and don't need a private room.  I think we should just swarm in and take over the bar. Who's gonna complain about a group of girls at a bar???? I didn't think so ;)

MissAsscher- you're so right, I don't wanna spend money for a private room!  That's nuts!  Good call.  The name tag idea is so much easier.  So, I'll be lookin' for girls with name tags on Friday!

Hey ladies -- Quick check... is this the Local that's right across the street from MSG? I didn't know it was called "West" - hah! I have a friend that works there 3-4 nights a week. Lemme know - maybe I can have her reserve a couple tables for us.
