Thanks to the procrastination on my future hubby (what am I signing up for?!), we're frantically looking for a honeymoon destination in September and we are now considering New Zealand and the Cook Islands.

Anyone been? Any recommendations on things to do and where to stay? We are planning on going for a total of 21 days.

Hi, I am also planing a Zew Zealand trip and I've found a lot of good info online. I have been to New Zealand for a couple of days on my way to and from Austrailia and I KNEW that I would spend my honeymoon there. And importat thing to remember is that while September means wather getting colder here in the states it will actually be spring and start to get warmer. New Zealand has it all, lot to do and see. You need to deside if you want to see the whole country or just the north or south island. One option I have thought was perfect is a rail tour. No driving on the wrong side of the road, you get to see a whole lot and you see the right stuff. I hope this helps. Congrats and have fun.

We're honeymooning in New Zealand as well, in December. There is a TON of info on the Tripadvisor.com forums... I'd recommend starting there. The only drawback is it can easily feel overwhelming with too much info. I've done quite a bit of research, so feel free to pm me if you have more specific questions. Good luck and enjoy!!
