@Mine29:  Welcome to the Hive!!! Get your name added to the waiting list that way you can see weekly how you move up on the list.

@Mine29:  under the NWR (non wedding related) section at the top.  you will see the different headings or sections.  we are under NWR now so you will see it from this page.

i am not on that section often but it’s a section where the bees are waiting for their proposal.  of course, all of the sections are interesting, like the ring and dress sections, my personal favourites.  even though my wedding is over, i still like to look at the pretty things.

Welcome to the hive, new waiting bee!

You can go to the ‘waiting’ section under NWR.  There you will find the ‘waiting’ list and see all the other bees waiting be engaged, get yourself added!  We also play a game called the ‘shut it up pact’ where we try to NOT drive our SO’s crazy with wedding pressures/questions/engagement issues once we have our timelines established.

I look forward to getting to know you better!

@Mine29:  Ideally, it’s easier to be quiet to your SO once you have established timelines.  You don’t NEED to have established timelines..but it sounds like you think that your timeline could be on your 3 year anniversary!  (how exciting!!)  Has your SO hinted around this?  That would be establishing a timeline!

I know that for myself, Mr VB won’t be proposing until he gets a job and graduates.  He’s interviewing like crazy (just had two interviews this week!), and he should be finished with school around April (woohoo!!).  So, no hard timeline for our situation, but a general idea that after that, we will move, live life a bit, and hopefully a proposal to follow!

I’ve had the wedding itch since January, so, yeah, I’ve brought it up from time to time to make sure that SO and I are on the same page.  But you don’t want to bring it up too much!  No need to nag Tongue Out So, we play a little game and along the way other waiting bees! Its where bees share stories about hints that their SO drops, ring shopping stories (which I won’t be sharing bc Mr VB is very traditional and wants to do the shopping himself), and provide support for other bees who are close to breaking the pact (ex, going to a wedding and not wanting to bring up when your wedding will be to your SO, etc).

You don’t HAVE to establish a timeline lol….I just put that out there!  You are welcome to join and comment on the Shut it UP pact at anytime!

@Mine29:  Welcome to the Bee! My FH asked me at the 3 1/2 year mark, at the end of May this year – a week after my birthday. I was actually expecting him to ask on my birthday, but he made a sly move and waited a whole 7 days! I was lurking here for quite awhile but didn’t join until a month or so ago.

So I hope it happens for you soon!!! Laughing

See you around!
