I am new to this website and have been reading your posts for about a week now – you’re such an awesome group! I was hoping to get some input on my dress choice. I’m not a very fashion-conscious person, and generally don’t know how to dress myself, so I was hoping to get some input!
I’m also a fairly frugal bride, and am hoping to keep costs as low as I can. I will however, spend more on a dress if it is absolutely the one I want. My wedding is going to be fairly low-key (at a golf course/country club, with a tree/nature theme). And sorry, I don’t remember the dress brands/styles and I know the editing out of the faces is creepy. It was the fastest way I could figure out how to edit 🙁 Here are my options:
Dress 1: $600 and change. This one is a little tight in the hips, I know.
Dress 2: $800 and change. I would remove the beading along the top of the neckline to make it more casual I think.
Dress 3: $1100, but the shop said they could bring it down to $1000 to keep it in my budget if needed.
Thoughts? And please don’t be afraid to be honest!

Welcome to the bee!
personally I really like the first one best on you. It hugs your body well and I love the bottom of the skirt. I love tulle!

I think they all look awesome on you, and I too am very frugal and so lean in that direction. However, I vote for #3, based solely on how you worded the poll choices – it seems like that one is certainly your favorite! If you can fit it in your budget, go for it!

I think all three dresses look nice, but the first two seem to do the most for your figure. Personally, I like the first one best (I like the skirt on it).

$600 for the first dress is such a great price and you look so nice in it. The other dresses are nice too, but I don’t like the bottom of those ones as much as the first. It just looks softer and more feminine.

THe first dress is the most flattering… nevermind the price… its all about the dress!

Thanks bees! I am honestly not leaning towards any of them (well, maybe number 1 b/c of price); but in terms of looks I really liked them all. That’s why it’s such a hard choice! I really appreciate the replies – you guys are quick! To be honest, I was really dreading dress shopping – I don’t really have body image issues I don’t think, but I don’t exactly love the way I look, especially since I’ve gained some weight recently. I was really worried I wouldn’t find ANYTHING I liked, so I’m extremely happy to have 3 to choose from!

I voted #1 not due to price, but because I like it the most! However, you seem to like 3! If so get 3

I love number 1! Beautiful on you!

They all look relatively similar, so it’s apparent you have a style you’re going for. Out of the three, I think number one would be my choice.

I think # 1 is beautiful! I would have never thought it was cheaper than the others! But ultimately go with what your heart says and the dress you feel happiest in! They are all beautiful! 🙂
