Hello everyone :) I'm brand new to WeddingBee (found the site last night!) and am now less than 1 year out from my big day! I already have the perfect dress and a wonderful venue, but I am daunted by the idea of choosing bridesmaid dresses...such responsibility! Below are some details about my wedding venue, theme, current ideas, and pictures of my own dress...any suggestions, inspirations, pictures, resources, etc., you can provide would be delightful!
My wedding date is set for November 9, 2012. The ceremony is outdoors in the afternoon, with cocktails and reception indoors in the evening. As the average November temperature of our venue's city is about 60*F, I have been leaning toward calf-length and longer dresses. Our theme is "Red & White Wine" (my dress is champagne colored), but I don't want it too be too overwhelming, so I'm considering black bridesmaid dresses with a satin "red wine" sash. Part of the reason I loved my dress so much is its unique, asymmetrical design and the fabulous ruching along the waist (really tucks a girl in!)...trouble is, I'm not sure if going with the same type of asymmetry and ruching will be too matchy-matchy, or even where to find such dresses (I despised the selection at my bridal salon)! :( I'm also at a loss as to whether the girls' gowns should be strapless (like mine) or something different. My girls are all different sizes -- tall and well-defined (somewhat muscular), short and curvy, short and slender -- and have very different bustlines!
This will be but the first of a thousand posts/cries for help as the day creeps closer, I'm sure...
Oh, and my dress (sorry for its giant size)! <3
