When I first got engaged I found this site through Google and thought, "wow, some people obsess a little bit too much over their weddings"
And now I'm on here just about every day! This is a wonderful community with lots of helpful, supportive advice.

@crebre80: We have been talking about getting married for the last few years... but it's been getting more and more serious lately. We've picked a date (i posted to the thread), we've talked about ring settings and even looked at different ideas online, I have expressed that I want my mother's first diamond. We've talked about ideas for locations and everything... just waiting for the ring as a go ahead!

I'm at 5 years too so I feel your pain! I think I have a couple months minimum wait though. I hope yours turns out shorter!

So I was discussing my frustrations with a friend at work yesterday about my boyfriend's delay in proposing to me. We have been together almost 5 years now and have a very solid relaionship. My friend JUST got engaged a few weeks ago and said that this site really helped her out when she got particularly frustrated with waiting... So here we go... put me on the waiting list everyone!
