Hi Everyone! I'm new to the Bee and I haven't posted my ring yet, so I figured that this was as good a time as any because I would really appreciate some help with unique wedding band ideas. My ring (pics below) is a cushion cut, with halo, and 1.5 mm pave band. I was thinking of doing a 1.5 mm pave eternity band, but lately I've been thinking it might be nice to try something a little bit more unique. I don't know what though...any ideas of what might look nice, but a bit different?

Please excuse my hands in the pics...I have bad eczema and they aren't attractive at all.

Your ring is beautiful! I love straight pave bands that match (like you mentioned) but you have so many opportunities if you are looking for something different!

    What about any of these?

How about the 1.5 mm band in a different metal like rose gold?

@Mrs. Fireworks: I like the style of the "twisted vine" and "tiara" that you posted a lot! I am a little obsessed with symmetry, order, and matching Embarassed (especially for certain things) so I feel like I might end up with the straight wedding band, but those are great suggestions! I will send them to my FI and see what he thinks. Thank you for the compliment (your ring is very beautiful as well) and all the ideas...hmmm so much to think about.

@pinkshoes: That is a great suggestion. Not sure if I want to mix metals yet, but I have seen some really beautiful examples on the Bee and I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks so much for your response!

@maudemaisha: Thank you for your kind words and the congratulations! The compliment about my hands made my day even more than the one about the ring (I must admit, I chose the pics where my hands looked the least horrible lol). I like the twisted one as well! I think that's officially at the top of my list for alternate options.

Hey! Welcome & thank you for posting your BEAUTIFUL ring! My ring will have a 1.5mm pave band as well and I just assumed I would get the matching wedding band. Thanks to the damn BEE HIVE and everyone's mouth dropping rings, it's making me truly want something more unique that "goes" but isn't super matchy. I LOVE something like this:

    OR maybe something like this:

^^ Sorry for the big pics, but that one is my dream ring. The only place I've found it was heartsonfire and it's like 5k. Definitely do not want to spend that much on the band but I like how unique it is and would pretty much enhance any ring shape!! But just depends on your style :) I want something a tad thicker because my ring will be so thin.

@MissTX: Thank you for your warm welcome and compliments! Both of those examples you posted are stunning. I think the first one might overpower my relatively simple style, but I especially love the second one...so gorgeous! Is that the one you said can be found at heartsonfire? Or were you referring to the first one? I'm getting excited, I really like that one! Thanks so much for your ideas and if you have any information regarding where I could possibly get that band please let me know (if it's not too much trouble).

@Toronto_CDolly:  YAY!  Another Toronto Bee!  Congrats on the engagement!

Your ring is gorgeous and I really love the "Tiara" band that Melanie422: posted.  They would look great together and, if you decided to wear the band alone, it would still look awesome.

@ArwenBride: Toronto woot! Glad to meet a fellow Toronto Bee Smile. Thanks for the congratulations and kind compliment! I like the Tiara style as well...very pretty. You Bees are so helpful. You've provided so many great options and such great advice already. I can't wait to check out some of these options further!

@Toronto_CDolly: OMG!! Your ring is unbelievable! I have been looking into similar styles, I may just have to PM you for some details!

And I vote a pave band similar to the band on your engagement ring but in a different gold, yellow or rose. Would look gorgeous.

I think there is a band called the Tiara or it's similar that has diamonds AND sapphires if you were looking to add  a little color for a unique touch. Let me try to find it... http://www.brilliantearth.com/Tiara-Eternity-Diamond-and-Sapphire-Ring-Platinum-BE250BDSE/

@Heartly: Wow thanks so much! PM me anytime and I will gladly answer any questions. I'm still thinking on the mixing of metals. If I were to go that route I would definitely do rose gold. It's so pretty.

@love108: Thanks for the suggestion! I do think gemstones are beautiful, but I think for the Tiara style I would lean towards the all diamond version. Blue Nile really does have a lot of great options...I should have known (my BIL purchased my sister's e-ring from them and it's beautiful). I hadn't realized they had such a wide selection of  wedding bands. I did check once before and I don't remember seeing most of these so maybe they have added to their collection?

    A few more questions:

Would an eternity band with larger diamonds look off? Or would I just be better off going with the 1.5 mm IF I am going to stick to a straight wedding band?

Also, are two 1.5 mm pave bands that flank and sit flush with my e-ring too much with the halo? (For me, I think this might be a bit too much, but I'm interested in hearing other opinions). My friend has been encouraging me to go this route...

Haha! I just realized I said Blue Nile in this post, although Blue Nile does have great options I'm really impressed by the Brilliant Earth wedding bands that have been posted and those are the ones I meant to refer to (site set up is slightly similar so I got a bit confused). I showed FI the options and we are seriously considering the Twisted Vine or Tiara style (although he prefers the Tiara).

Your ring is beautiful, I think any ring would be amazing!  I love the tiara style as well!  If you want to see what it looks like with your ring before you order it, try Berricle.com.  They sell (I believe) a very similar ring in sterling silver and CZ for much less, and they have high quality stuff so you can always keep it to use when you were doing REALLY grungy stuff and didn't want to wear your real ones!  Unless you can try one on in a store somewhere, I know I've never seen one like it in RL here but you might have better luck.

Also, I wanted to share as I have a band (not my wedding band) similar to the first one Melanie422 posted, and had a pick of it with my halo, and the matching pave band stacked at the top.  Much different than yours, obviously, but it may help give you a visual Smile

@MerryWidow: What a beautiful sparkly you have there! Thank you for your suggestions (the visual really helped) and compliment. I like the idea of ordering a "trial" band in the Tiara style before purchasing from Brilliant Earth. I'm so hesitant because I'm inclined to go the simple route and just get a straight wedding band, but at the same time I want something a bit different...so that would be a great way to test it out!
