Hi All! I got engaged in November and just started diving into the wedding planning pretty recently. My fiance and I are getting married on December 30, 2009 (I know, a Wednesday, *GASP*) but it's the holidays and it's much cheaper that way. I am working full time and he is still in school until December, but the Army is paying him to be a student. We have a measely little budget but I am the queen of frugal so it is still going to be an amazing wedding!
Can't wait to bombard everyone with my questions, concerns, and rantings. I also blog about them regularly :)

Hello! I'm Jean - waiting very patiently to be "offically" engaged (i know, what does that even mean!!) in PA. My boyfriend and I decided in December that we're readt to get married, so he is saving for an engagement ring and until then we're trying to keep it a secret. :) I love reading all the great ideas the Bees have and the boards have really helped me get a better idea of all that goes into wedding planning. We're shooting for a fall 2010 wedding right now, so I've got lots of time to read up here!
Hello. I'm American, he's British. We live in the UK. Having a Philly wedding in June 09, and then a British bash in August 09. i work with excel extensively for a living- and love putting it to good use with wedding planning (master spreadsheets for guests that autopopuate seating chart, etc...)
Hooray for more US/UK couples! If you live near Birmingham we're going to do a meet up in March

Hi! I'm not officially a "newbee" anymore (yay for finally getting my 50 posts), but I've only been on here a week or so. Love it! We got engaged Jan 7, but have been planning the wedding for a while. He was just waiting for our family vacation to make the proposal perfect (snowmobiling through yellowstone, proposed at Old Faithful, it was amazing). He's currently living 1000 miles away, so our Jan 2010 wedding got moved to May 2009 so we don't have to be apart so long. It's nuts throwing all this together so fast, but I'm having a blast! I love having all the great ideas and advice here on weddingbee! Ya'll are the best!

Well I've been buzzing about for a little over four months now, and I am from the South (Georgia and my weddingbee name is short for belle in georgia) and am planning an encore wedding late in the summer. We're going on our official "engagimoon" in a few weeks and I cannot wait! Jamaica here we come!
I'm J, my son is M, and my guy is T so if you see me refer to people with these initials, that's who I am writing about!
Our families have known of our intent to marry so that part is out of the way thankfully. It's going to be a blast planning an encore wedding. I'm just ready to finally have Ms. Sparkley finally sitting on my left hand very soon!

I am pretty new to the boards as well. We live in Colorado have been together for almost five years and will be getting married in Wyoming in September 2009.
Right now the moms are the biggest PITAs as they have a ton of questions and concerns. My parents are divorced, his are german... things are complicated.
I know it will be a blast and the best day ever as long as I can get all these contracts sent off!

Hi all! I'm Laura, 27, and from Oklahoma. Not engaged yet...been with my sweetie for almost 2 years and we're waiting to get the ring when he goes back to work on the pipeline. So...in about 2 months I should have the rock on my finger! Hooray! He should be done pipelining in November so it looks like the end of the year for the wedding. I hope he's done sooner because I've always wanted a fall wedding. So, that's about it. I go with him when he's working and we bought a new fifth wheel this last summer. We should be leaving in the next couple of weeks to go to Missouri. So, expect to see me around here often as it gets very boring hanging out in the trailer all by my lonesome.
Hello everyone! I am a third year law student, living in San Francisco with my FH and our two bunnies. We're getting married in October a little ways down the Penninsula. I find it kind of hilarious that I am on a wedding forum since I was never one of those girls who dreamed about planning her dream wedding. It took me months just to decide on the color scheme! But it's great to see what everyone is doing and I've gotten a lot of inspiration from these boards. See you guys around :).

Hi, I've been trolling around WB ever since cherry pie became a blogger - she's a 'real life friend' and she introduced me to the site. I finally signed up a week or two ago because it's all coming together for the man and me now. We've picked out the ring and we're just waiting for them to finish making it for me. I live in North Dakota, I'm a first year PhD student and a full time college staff member. The man and I are trying to decide between a courthouse marriage (just us, no fuss), which is more our style... or a medium sized [+-100] family/party wedding (done on the cheap, lots of diy and potluck elements) for everyone to enjoy. We've decided to leave it up to our families to help us decide, since the big wedding would be more for them than for us. In the meantime, I'm here, checking out everyone's ideas and offering some advice too.

Hello everyone! I started reading last summer, not because I was engaged but because all my friends were. I've never been particularly interested in weddings in the past, but I love crafty projects and the diy ideas that come from the hive. I've become a bridesmaid/moh extraordinaire, using Weddingbee for help and inspiration for my friends! Not being engaged myself (though I have a wonderful boyfriend of two years), I hesitated to comment originally, but everyone seems quite friendly!

Hello bees!! I am "new" here too having read about WB on another wedding chat site and from the first glance instantly became addicted - my boyfriend calls WB my "girl porn" LOL!!! I have been with my bf for 2 years, we just moved in together last summer, we live in SE Mass with our kitty Jack. We are not yet engaged but have been discussing "our wedding plans" for almost a year now. I love WB, everyone here is super supportive & I love getting new ideas to file away for when the time comes for us to really plan.
It's so great to hear Newbees say these feel like this is a friendly community, I think that is probably one of the most important things to Mrs. Bee!
Hello everyone! I'm new to WB ... just started reading a couple of weeks ago. I'm not "officially engaged" yet, meaning no e-ring or romantic proposal, but we've known for quite ahile that we were going to get married. I am hoping for a wonderful Valentine's Day on Saturday that just might involve diamonds though! My FH and I have been together for 10 months. I live in Oklahoma and he currently lives in TX. We've been doing the long distance thing for awhile and we're both in our mid to late 30s so we didn't feel the need to have a long courtship or engagement. We decided to go ahead and set a date so I could begin planning. August 1, 2009 is the big day!
I'm really enjoying reading the messages and getting such wonderful ideas!!!

Hi! :) I am loving Weddingbee!! I got engaged in January and we're planning to get married in January/February of next year. We're in New York now but are moving to Denver in April (it's going to be a busy year!!) and will get married in Dallas (my hometown). I'm Catholic so we're having a traditional church wedding and are still trying to figure out a reception venue. I'm one of those have-been-planning-my-wedding-since-I-was-10 girls so I expect to be on here a lot!
I'm new also. I like this site a lot. Very friendly ladies and it's an easy site to navigate. I got engaged in November 208 and I'm getting married on October 31, 2009. Planning is fun but a lot of work. I'm woried that I'm behind. I don't have a dress yet. I have a reception venue, a church and a photographer.
I am newly engaged, live in NYC and plan to have my wedding for under $10,000 - so please pass along any advice :) I do have a while though, as our date is November of 2010. I love reading this site and am glad to meet all of you!
Hello there! I am not officially engaged yet, but I've been visiting this site for over a year now, so I'm about to burst if it doesn't happen soon. I found a phrase from another forum that nicely describes this phase, "Lady in Waiting" which sounds so much nicer than how I feel! The plan is to get married in November of this year in Los Angeles, so I really do need to get engaged soon so I can officially unleash myself into a full wedding frenzy. Nice meeting everyone!

Hi there! I am not technically a newbee anymore but have only been engaged a few months and a member of weddingbee since Christmas! I am E, and I live in Beantown (Boston) with B, my fiancee. We have been together almost 8 years and finally decided to make it official in October! We are planning a fall fun/casual chic wedding in the White Mountains of NH. Though I never thought I wanted a big fancy wedding, I am really into planning my wedding now and am excited to be part of weddingbee. Thanks to everyone for all the great advice!

I'm not so much of a newbee anymore, but I'm fairly new to the boards. I've been a member (and engaged) since April/May 2008 and only started posting a few weeks ago. I'm from Delaware and planning a chinese/viet wedding that will take place in my home state and Philadelphia for the reception. I will try my best to incorporate as much DIY projects as possible while being on a tight budget. I'm really glad to be part of this amazing weddingbee community, and welcome to all of the newbees!

We didn't start dating until my senior year (he was 2 years ahead of me in school), but have now been together for over 3 years (and friends for almost 6). He proposed last May, and we are still working on setting a date. I recently discovered Weddingbee, and absolutely love it! I got engaged in November 2008 and have been with my fiance for over 3 years. We are both busy in school and planning a wedding for May 2009! It is soon but we both met at undergrad. and we are getting married at the school which has actually made planning a breeze. I love this site and the community it provides for brides to be in all sorts of situations! I have already received some great advice and I have only been a member for a day!
Hi! Newbee here! Been lurking for a couple of months. Great site! Engaged Thanksgiving weekend '08 with an August 1, 2009 wedding date. I'm a very old bee compared with the rest of ya. lol. I'm a lawyer in Las Vegas, fiance from Canada (been in the states for 4 years now) and we decided to have a destination wedding at a winery in Temecula, CA.
